  • Matt and I go to the 2015 Philadelphia Auto Show viea SEPTA. This is a quicker video with little narrative. It is a first hand experience with more fiddle-diddling than at the NYIAS 2014.

      Which you would not want to scratch on bumps in a car player. Rip them to AAC or MP3, and plug that on a stick into your car audio system. You will not hear the quality difference in a car.

      @Bartonovich52 3 роки тому +1

      Yep. CDs are pointless.
      Yes.. you can hear the difference between CD and MP3... but a high bit rate AAC or m4a? Even parked on a remote road with the engine off and a premium sound system, I doubt it. Definitely not while driving.

    I loved car shows as a kid.
    but I didn't burn out getting over-stimulated, wasting energy running. instead I channeled the energy into methodically sitting in every single unlocked car there.

    Mr.Regular about the people stealing shift knobs and volume buttons.. When I went to the Phoenix International Auto Show, almost all the cars I sat in they were gone not by people stealing them but the auto makers told me they take them off before the show.

    Most knobs that can be stolen are removed before the show by manufacturers or the dealers the cars belong to. Years ago it wasn't the case, and I got paid good money to reinstall all that shit once it made it back to the showroom.
    But then again, RIP Ram coin holder.

      That's one of the reasons I've always thought touchscreens are stupid in cars. As long as there are still some buttons for common tasks it is alright, but some cars are just pure touchscreens which require looking away from the road to operate.

    Man, I remember the Philly Auto Show.
    As for the Kia.... okay, story time... I was with a couple of my cousins at the Charlotte auto show back in November. We happened to be checking out the new Mini, and when he was in the car, he had his foot resting on the clutch. Well, in the Mini the start toggle switch/button flashes, so he pushed it, and the car started. Then, he let off the clutch, and the car almost ran over my dad and hit a pole. Luckily, he stopped it in time. Don't know how nobody got this on video. Some smartass thought it would be a good idea to leave the key in the ignition, which none of us noticed until after the fact.

    You'd think that by now Honda would have realized that there's a reason so many people still drive the 90's models of their cars. Honda, scrap the CR-Z and focus on your market demographic. It's either old people who want a comfy Accord or young guns who want a Civic Si. If you want a hatch in your line up, don't give some half-ass excuse for a CRX. Give us a light, manual, 4cyl, hatch with 3 doors and four seats and aftermarket potential.

    • @TheNeoCreations
      @TheNeoCreations 9 років тому +18

      Having said that, since the CR-Z hasn't sold well, you can still find 2011-2013 CR-Zs on lots, collecting dust, and basically begging to be driven away for the low price of the contents of your wallet and the lint in your pockets. And considering the car does a good job averaging mid 40mpg it's actually now become a pretty good economy bang for the buck.

      I just bought a base 5.7 hemi 1500 as my second car that can tow and haul stuff. I feel like I can park my FiST in the glove box. They missed the CD player in the bottom of the arm rest and the right lighter power source is actually usb. I got an OEM nav/ stereo and installed a better hitch than the bumper hitch. Also better exhaust. For a cheap rwd truck that'll pull anything you need... I can't complain. I'm looking for leather seats for a decent price. In AZ, so heated seats make little sense. The only thing I wish I had was the new 8 spd auto with electronic linkage knob thing. But I got a one year old truck for 1/3rd the price of the new one, so I'll live with it.
      Not sure why I thought anyone would care about this... Ha.

      Do you often take your phone out of your pocket/purse? I am truly curious since about the only time mine comes out of my pocket is when I'm using it as GPS, which it then sits in a holder on the windshield.

    that dodge work vehicle thing shares lots of parts with my FIAT 500. The dome lights were nearly identical, the way the door locks work (push in to lock) is the same. Also, that chrysler steering wheel control set. It had rocker switches on the backside I bet.

    if someone hasn't already mentioned this, most of the missing knobs and switches probably weren't stolen, some of the manufacturers remove all the easily taken items for just that reason

    6:31 “oh they managed to steal the volume knobs... ...and the treble knobs. ...Philadelphia.”
    I swear to you, the ONLY time I had ever been to Philadelphia, we were just driving through PA. We stopped because my parents wanted to see some giant bell that had a crack in it. When we came back to continue our road trip, the passenger window was smashed in, and our VCR, with my VHS tape inside was stolen. They left the TV because it was mounted better. Ended up going to NJ, and back to VA, with no windows. My dad rolled all of them down because the horrible chopping noise the one broken one made, with NO entertainment for 8yo me (can’t pick up local TV stations when the vehicle is moving, and music was hard to listen to with all the road noise, and this was 1990, so technology). Oh, and I ended up finding shards of broken glass for years to come. Damn straight I played with it!

    Took a ride in a Yaris for a 4 hour trip the other day for work. Heaps of road noise, seat bottoms started to get uncomfortable and nasty plastic all over the place.
    Thankfully the trip up was to grab a company car, a 2013 Nissan Qashqai which I drove home. Really surprised to find soft touch plastics on the dash and door tops and the 6 speed auto shifts real nice.

Black as the anthracitic soul of Luzerne County, Red like the lights on Route 145/MacArthur Road going into Allentown through Whitehall. It gets from point A to point B, but you can take a scenic detour to West Point or Point Breeze, before going to King of Prussia, but it's cozy, comfortable, and it plays fine.

  • @Ezalian
    @Ezalian 9 років тому

    You know what is more annoying other than that spinning dial thing. The push button without up and down that controls the fan speed. Nissan have that, the fan speed goes from 1-4, and there is only 1 button. It goes in cycle depending on the position. So, if it's too hot and you just want to cranked up the speed to 4 fast from 1, but you push it 5 times that it went down to speed 1 and have to do the whole pushing thing slowly to make sure you're in the right fan speed. *Y61 Nissan Patrol owner with automatic climate control.
