My grandmother had an aversion to aluminum cook wear. Apparently it was considered poisonous by her generation. She was born in 1888 though and it was fairly new material and very expensive. I have been researching aluminum and bauxite since seeing this video. I love his artisan craft though
That was very interesting! I had no idea that so much labor was involved. I really thought the pot making was done in some automated factory. So, it's actually amazing to see this old school process! I am very impressed! I wish I had one of those for outdoor cooking here in Texas.
@@wolftechgh4844 thank you, but I have many close friends in Ghana . If I ever decide its worth the cost, I'm sure I'd have a source for the pot. TRULY it's the cost of shipping that is daunting. But, thank you for your kind offer. I appreciate you and your kindness.... truly a Ghanaian trait!
I feel so grateful after watching this video. We always buy food but we take for granted the 'unseen' hard work behind manufacturing the pots and cooking the food we buy... Thank you so much Ama, I really feel grateful 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
Wow. Very tedious. Imagine the business they would attract if they had access to materials as well as technology to help in the process. The resilience of Africans is simply amazing! Respect man. So much respect.

I watched video previously, but could not comment. Amazing work by these artisans. You promised this was a good video. It was! The process of melting and reforging aluminum was both educating and enlightening!
Ms. Ama, can you please find out if he can cast these pots with iron ore? I wouldn't mind ordering some in that case, as long as you can ship to the Caribbean. Thank you.
