The real answer to that first question is the run game will open up when we allow our quarterback to actually get involved instead of keeping him in bubble wrap. Watch JJ go for 100+ rushing against Penn State against those great DBs they have if the throws aren’t there. Then watch Corum and Edwards finally have more space because the defense is distracted by JJ. We haven’t had to show it, so the run game hasn’t been there. The passing attack might not hit at the same pace against better defenses, but our offense has too many weapons to be held back.
Against two teams with a combined 4 wins…and who had to change their entire play scheme in a week or two to try to adjust to the cheaters and the best. Good job. Those wins will be eventually vacated though.
