I have a 2013 650i stock mine has given me engine issues and failed completely fixed the entire transmission new stock and all components and haven’t had issues with it since. I believe your car may be lemon, keep revving brother
Wow! I just got rid of my 2015 640i Grande Coupe. It had water that kept building up on the passenger foot well. But other than that I had no issues with mine. I moved on to a new 840i Grande Coupe with nice M package details. Thanks for this info because BMW could never figure out where the water was coming from. They thought it had something to do with the AC

Either you have a lemon or I have a unique car. I have had none of the issues on my 2015 640i. I'm at 80K and have just noticed a leaking valve cover gasket. Mine is completely stock so that may account for some of the issues I am not experiencing. I do plan on doing some preventive maintenance this coming year such as replacing the water pump, thermostat, tensioners and belt along with the oil filter housing gaskets. I will also walnut blast the intake valves.

Probably the one problem I really hate about BMWs is the sunroof rubber boots that rip every 5000 miles 👎🏽 same problem with my e63 645 Bmw never made an upgrade for that cheap silicone material.

I dont remember the exact fuse, but if you disassemble the glove box there should be a diagram inside that tells you what each fuse is for. Hope this helps

I have the 2014 640i GC w/ m sport pkg and just got the P10E2 code ..took it to dealer and was quoted $2300 to replace the valvetronic servo motor and $4400 if they have to replace 4 injectors while doing the servo. Is it very hard to swap out the servo and do I really need it?
Im not sure about that but injectors are only 500$ for all 6 on FCP Euro. I would take your car to an independent german car specialist and they could probably get it done for 1/3 of BMWs price

I believe it ran right around $2800-3000.. I had the valvetronic servo, and the eccentric shaft changed along with all the gaskets and they had to reprogram it. Didn't take it to a BMW dealer, I found a European car mechanic close by and they did a great job on it.
whenever buying a used high mileage bmw, the first thing you should do is take it to a bmw tech so you can get all the issues diagnosed and always set aside 2-3k on top of purchase price to account for maintenance that could be coming within the first year

Like how you can't just replace the battery and drive off, you have to have something to register it then you have to tell the computer there's a new battery. You can't jump the car from the battery you have to use the connections under the hood, towing you should use a flat bed and make sure you have the tow hook, and pray you dont hit a bump hard enough to make the power steering pulley hit the subframe causing the belt to shred and get sucked in the engine🥴. It's just little things that can turn into big things if you don't know what you're doing, my Infiniti m35 is damn near bullet proof but it's not a bmw. When everything's working it's my favorite car to drive

It's not like a 3 series where there's a ton of DIY on UA-cam. If you keep up with scheduled maintenance you'll be okay. If you get a molested lease you're rolling the dice.

I already replaced charge pipe, spark plugs,ignition coils, valve cover, oil housing gasket, water pump, high pressure fuel pump...So technically it's really good condition and should last stock great but I want to get the extra push with stage 1 and minor burbles. what do you think

@@yaser62412 well bmw recommends oil changes every 10k which is way too long for even a stock car lol. Even stock id change ur oil every 5k since these engines run very hot
I paid £160 for stage 1 tune (mobile tuner comes straight to your house). Well worth it. Nothing wrong with it. You get a little extra performance - but also, i suspect my fuel economy has improved slightly cruising at 55mph.
@@rnrmotorsports tyres are £1200 for michelins, lol... Genuine bmw front brake discs and pads - £550 approx + labour. I need to replace the ewg now - been getting intermittent codes for it.
Bought my 640i with 86k miles and loved it but 3 months later it randomly didn’t let me shift into park. Took it to the bmw dealership and they say it something they have never seen and it’s the mechatron that failed. Smh probably going to trade it 😢
@@SRTvespucci707 recommend staying away from BMW I have nightmare stories for days with the car and service centers. If you really like the brand just lease it then you can beat on it and return it when your lease ends at that point it won’t be your problem anymore.

should be perfectly fine bro, just make sure to let her warm up and change your oil every 5k

To me the 5 series looks like regular traffic where as the 6 looks like an exotic. Just my 2 cents lol
