You inspired me! I made three Qalam kits as gifts this year. I made a bamboo inkwell, and I split a very big section of bamboo and used half of it as a display and holder for the Qalam and inkwell. I colored the bamboo dark with a flame, and they came out great! Thanks again!
You have done an amazing job. Nowadays, I have also started writing with bamboo pen for Urdu and Arabic Calligraphy. Your video is incredible. Every thing is explained with rationale. May bless you!
I loveeee your work . MashaAllah..You are absolutely incredible. ❤️I use to do calligraphy afew years ago but due to circumstances stopped. Seeing your work has inspired me to start again. May Allah bless you with all the happiness. Ameenxx
AWRTWB Beti Al-HamdulillAH JezaakALLAHu khairan Great work! This will be not only be of benefit but will be so specially to students in poverty stricken areas where they cannot afford the luxury of calligraphy pens and ink Keep up the excellent work Abdul Aziz uncle Bolton UK
Thanks for all your content, I really appreciate the way you express your thought writing Holy quotes. I want to do the same thing as you did by writing directly on my walls, but I wonder if I sell my appartement, what I have do to, so the next peoples aren't blaspheme those Holy words? (I'm French, please excuse my English)
Use a big canvas so that you can remove it, or hang a big piece of fabric which covers your whole wall and then if you move you can fold it and take it with you.
Masha allah ❤❤... You are such a talented person... I am very keen to learn Arabic calligraphy and I am an absolute beginner... Can you please do a video of tips for beginners and the types papers and pens and other products that you use? And also how did you start Arabic calligraphy? It would be very helpful if you post a video of these...
calligraphy is actually learnt traditionally, where a licensed teacher assigns his/her students with a piece and students must copy it. after finishing, the piece is then corrected and repeated if needed and this process called tasheeh must be repetitive until the teacher thinks that the student is already worthy of writing. if so, the teacher will ask the student to write an artwork for said student's license
Thank you for sharing this!! How do you make different shapes? How do you care for the qalaams in between? Do you wash them? Can you share qalaams between different color inks? Where do you get the bamboo from? Sorry - just beginning at this and would like to understand more! This video is super helpful!
Qalams are mostly made on an angle of 75° as shown in the video, the chiseled shape is preferred more as it can give you the perfect shape of the letters. You can buy it anywhere outside if they sell in your place or you could purchase it through some Instagram pages. And you don't wash them you could just clean the ink with a wet tissue or something after using it 😄😄 hope this is helpful for you
@@samreenkhan2893 actually, calligraphers clean our pens with spit, because wet tissue can damage the nib of the pen. the angle of the pen depends on the calligrapher, some prefer it straight while others slanted with different angles. pen cuttings are also different for left and right handed people. the different shapes of letters and ligatures is arabic calligraphy depends on the nuqtah (diamond shape). it is the basic shapa and the unit of measurement in calligraphy (we cannot just write as there are many rules to follow)
Can you make a video on how to use qalam and ink? I am trying to learn calligraphy while using a qalam instead of just painting it. Or do you have any recommended books for learning calligraphy?
insha allah for your give away i will also be a part bcuz am only 11 years old 😁 but i lovee making arabic calligraphies but i only have markers and a pencil 😶but anyways i will keep my fingers crossed 😂
wow thats really helpful 🤍 thank you. can you make a video showing us how to write with them ive been trying to learn for a whike and i cant figure it out
to write arabic calligraphy, you have to learn from a licensed teacher, so the learning process is authentic and traditional like the ottoman times. learning arabic calligraphy by the traditional way is better and the rules are clear as crystal
Thank you so much for teaching us this, I really like that you don't put any music. Could you please also teach us how you remove the inc from the qalam when you are done drawing calligraphy.
How long will a pen last? I am curious because of 31:27 saying that "even if the whole forest was used as pens" God's words would not end. So does a pen expire/wear off? If so how long does one last in your experience?
Hello there. Great video with clear explanation. I have a question for You please. I noticed You have something in Your ink jar Your dipping the pen into. I'm just wondering what it is and what it is in the jar for? Regards Paul.
