I wish more dads would be like Alexis. Some dads just don’t get excited about having a girl.
Girls are best. Easier to raise than boys who may not be listening at all.
My husband loves his little girl and we have boys too but she has special place in his heart.
My Dad was the best Dad ever.He had 3 girls and 3 boys, but he loved all of us. He was hard working but present Dad. My Mom was the best, too. I had great parents ❤❤❤❤

It’s confidence building to grow up with a Dad who never once made me feel “less than”. My parents never voiced that they wanted a boy since they had two daughters. My parents and specifically my Dad built my sister and I up by teaching us the things I saw other dads only teaching their sons. Ugh…I feel so bad for daughters who hear their parents say things like “we’re trying again so we get that boy”, or “hoping for a boy this time. I imagine I would feel defeated or not good enough if the opposite of me was wished for.
I understand people maybe wanting a protective brother for their daughter. However if you raise your daughters with confidence and strength they will not need or want a protector.
Alexis seems like a great dad and partner.
