One thing no one pointed out is: The Saints are playing like this Without 2 Superstars. One on Offense and Defense. Ryan Ram & Marshon Lattimore. They also are eating up a lot of Cap space.
In that situation I respected it. Hold them to 3 points before the half vs potentially a 7 point score when they were getting it back in the 3rd. Not when you're up by 4 with 2 minutes left though. Different scenarios
I wish we could stop talking about AK like doing something new or different. He’s just running the plays called. He’s not back in form like he used to, he’s just being used properly.
Bruh what are you talking about used property Ak41 hasn't lost a step it was the OC we had for 2 years making look like he lost it last Sunday he look like the Ak41 of old dismissed me with that bruh
@@johannconway9363 you might need to work on your reading comprehension skills. My post literally said he isn’t doing anything new; he’s being used properly. I’m saying that Kubiak is using him appropriately whereas Carmichael used him poorly the past two years.

"We've got a decade long sample size of what Derek Carr is." Sure, a decade long sample size of having nearly double digit offensive coordinators (I think he's on his eighth OC now), having to learn and implement new playbook schemes on the regular even when said schemes are someone else's crappy ideas, having mid to bottom tier defensive units on the other side of the ball for said ten/eleven years, etc. Let me pause here. I'll circle back to this. Anyone remember when Brees was tossing up multiple 5,000 yard seasons and the Saints were barely breaking even in the W/L column? Anyone remember what our defense was ranked back then. It's worth a Google. Brees also had the same coach and the same offensive coordinator for the majority of his career. I'm not drawing a comparison here between Brees and Carr. I'm just bringing to light the facts drawn by parallel per context. It's very easy to believe and say someone is what they are when you're not looking at the picture in its entirety. It's equally the same to broadly generalize utilizing one set of facts that exist in a vacuum as they fit the narrative. At this point I'm guessing the unceasing repeating of Derek Carr's sample size is either one of two things or both one and the same thing for Matt. 1.) Matt is trying so hard to convince himself that he's right about Carr by pushing the aforementioned narrative minus the minutiae of the entire situation as it pertains to Derek Carr and all that's happened around Carr during his career. 2.)And/or Matt is pushing said narrative to improve ratings/boost viewer engagement, subs, likes, etc. Bottom line: It's okay to be wrong about someone. It's okay to say you were wrong about someone. No one is going to hate you for it and if they do then their opinion doesn't matter. We're all human, bro.
That’s been my point, I like Matt. But his stubbornness is his downfall. No doubt he’s trolling too for clicks. And I’m ok with that because he’s trying to make a living. But by sticking with a negative narrative will one, alienate the Saints fan base. And what if, IF, they win a superbowl, or a deep run. A ton of media opportunities will come up, and NoT one saints player or coach will go on his show. Not only that, Matt’s an actual saints fan. So he’s watching games comprised wanting them to win and for Dc4 to do bad. What a waste. Just admit you’re wrong, then ride the wave. If DC4 fails later, then you can circle back.
It's all execution. They've been a good team on paper before and then not executed. On paper we should be a playoff team. We need to see if we're going to play ball every week, or are we gonna Aints ourselves to a 0.5 season.

I have been a Raiders fan since I was 10-years old, I am now 72. I have watched every game that Carr has played in his NFL career. Carr turned me into a Carr fan. I was pissed off when they dumped Carr instead of the crappy coach. Carr going to the Saints turned me into a Saints fan. I am still a Raiders fan too. I will have a real delima when the they play each other. I do not want either to loose. To my real point, Carr is a top ten quarterback regardless of what this talking empty head says or thinks. He looks at team stats and blames the QB. There are no quarterbacks that I know of that have been through the crap Carr has had to contend with during his career. The Raiders never had a half decent defense during Carr's time there. So every game was a shoot out, unfortunately the other teams had much better defenses. The majority of his years there he also had mediocre to bad offensive line to boot. Also, bad management and continuous stream of coaches and systems. I want the Saints and Carr to win the superbowl this year, he deserves it, they deserve it. There are a lot of great players on the Saints that are underrated by 🤡s like you. The Raiders, as a team this year, have little chance even though they finally have a good defense, they have a mediocre Quarterback and offense unfortunately. So if it is the difference between Carr and the Saints getting to the playoffs I will have to root against the Raiders for the first time in 62-years. Go Saints⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️

It takes a lot of patience and it hurts to watch how boring the other teams are run run dump punt
