Hello everyone!
Yesterday the album [Remastered Soundtrack] Touhou 3: Phantasmagoria of Dim.Dream made by @ParadiseofBoundaries was released.
As in the previous album, I participated and contributed several tracks so I'll be uploading them in my free time.

I tried to adapt Yumemi's track to UDoALG's style.
The track is split into two parts so I hope it's not confusing....
Doing this was quite strange since at the time I only had the UDoALG demo themes as references and it really wasn't much use for a major boss theme so I had to improvise and tried to partly "guess" what a UDoALG final boss would sound like. (Clearly failed attempt)
When the full version of UDoALG was released I was able to implement small references like the "Ehru" and "Mongolian Voices" in the second part of the theme.
However, despite having put so much effort into it, there is something I really don't like about this arrangement. I don't hate it, but I don't feel like it's something to cheer for either.
Maybe I'm just blinding myself from the exhaustion I ended up getting from doing this. It's possibly the arrangement I've spent the most time on, it was about 42 hours or so.
On the other hand, I'm glad that several people in the stream liked the arrangement, it relieved a lot of the uncertainty I had inside.

I already loved the original intro and changes here and there: already a fresh breath of air from practically most Strawberry Crisis arranges. And then the vocals hit along with the erhu. Got shivers. And then main menu theme at 4:35??

I can only say that this remaster is absolutely incredible. I already love the original Strawberry Crisis to death but this one just became my favorite version of the song.

Oh, now with what you explained in the description things make more sense. You did the arrangement before the full game was released, which is why I missed the style of the other boss themes, as well as the final boss's instruments and some references that I think would be very well placed here.
As an arrangement itself, I really liked the first part and the end of the second part, but as an arrangement in the TH19 style, not so much. Of course I now understand the reason for much of this from what you explained, but I wanted to share my opinions, judging as if this were an arrangement based on the style of the full game's themes.
The violins seem to have been used a lot, which for some reason gave me a certain feeling of a Karl Zuñiga style arrangement. I have the impression that most of the time the drums are not being used in the way I would expect for original TH19 songs (I can't explain very well why). But you implemented the excess of cymbal beats well, I just think these beats could have "been more prominent" somehow, as it's almost impossible to ignore them most of the time when listening to TH19 themes, and I missed a use very excessive of them in the climax, which happens a lot in TH19. I miss instruments with a specific reverb often used in the OST. A few more instruments used in Zanmu's theme would be very welcome, they are so good.
In the introduction there are parts of the melody (which appears in other sections throughout the arrangement) that I liked and others that I didn't like. The piano is cool.
From 0:30 to 1:21 I really liked it, the trumpet and bass are cool and have a kind of futuristic touch, and I think it suits Yumemi (I think here you used instruments from the title theme, but it was still cool for a boss theme). I just found the use of the violin strange, as it sounds more "Karl Zuñiga" than "ZUN", although it has slight similarities with one of the uses in Reimu's theme.
From 1:21 to 2:06 the acoustic guitar is cool, the choir aligns with ZUN's arrangements and recent games, despite not aligning with the original themes. While I liked how you made this part more dynamic, I didn't like that it was so relaxed most of the time, without the feeling of tension that I feel in the original.
From 2:07 to 2:29 it is very good, with a good feeling of climax, maintaining the striking simplicity of the original.
From 2:30 to 4:45 it really looks like something much more Karl Zuñiga. There are many changes. You used ehru and voices well here.
Well, this arrangement certainly has quality and was made with care. These points I mentioned are just my opinion on the issue of suitability for the intended style. Thank you for always having this dedication and releasing quality work.
Somehow I thought violins were going to be featured in this installment, hahaha. I mean, ZUN used them beautifully in the menu theme and in Reimu's stage
From 1:21 to 2:06 I understand what you mention. About the tranquility thing, I tried to make it sound relaxed since from what little I had heard of the TH19 themes is that certain tracks weren't really attempts and some played with the hyperactive and the tranquil, although I guess I should have chosen another section and not that part that should match the whole main base
From 2:30 to 4:45 maybe I took too many liberties hahaha
I had in mind to restructure all the previous base and make a new section as if it was a kind of last spell. Orphen wanted me to make a part that would explode completely and serve as a closure, so I had to do a lot of testing and trying to find something that I really liked. In between so many changes of my own I went with my own instinct instead of thinking of something that ZUN would do, my mistake

Nahh mentira, parece que te tomaste muchas libertades, parece un tema diferente, pero usando el leifmotive de yumemi y sobreexplotandolo mucho al parecer, te quedó genial, se me hace que no escuché todo el track en el stream mmmm, creo que soy yo
En el Stream se muestra también las dos partes, solo que se alterna entre los estilos de los otros músicos que decidieron participar
En la segunda parte del tema intenté hacer algo diferente y romper por completo la estructura previa de la primera parte para darle un cierre al tema y que suene de alguna manera "impresionante"

1. if you're talking about the intro to the song, he composed it. If you're talking about the cover image, the image is available in the album download in #-proyectos in the Paradise of Boundaries server.
2. The staff decided to invite Tokiko and Ocha to arrange the theme into their own style while Karl did the arrangements for the intro, middle section and outtro
