So you complain that the roof takes too long and it would be bad in the rain...but then you think pop up roofs are so much better, one that takes longer and has you actually step out of the car and gets your stuff in the trunk wet...yeah have fun in the rain with that.

I bet getting out of the car, removing the roof, storing it in the back and getting back in takes a hell of a lot more time than 20s! That is probably the nicest thing I can say about this review.....

Beauty in automotive design and appearance is the Targa. I understand the GTS brings performance but the aggressive look and the black wheels ruin the simple subtle beauty of the regular 4s Targa into something that looks that looks intended for the track or racing. The Targa is for a sunset cruise up Malibu with your lady enjoying the open air and maybe doing a couple sprints to 100-110mph. There's plenty of 911's for the performance oriented, no need for a GTS targa. This car looks confused.
Give the guy a break, he probably lost his day job that afternoon, this is his back-up. Too bad those ridiculous black nails are going to get him fired again, darn....
The power top retracted in 17ish seconds, not really that slow. The features shown in the video are nothing new, novel or interesting to a Porschephile.

I love the sound of my engine, and everyone I know just loves it. Additionally, saying that the cabriolet doesn't stand out is a little nuts. But, everyone has an opinion and he's free to give his just like me.
Matias Petrali It's the most powerful 911 available with a stick shift - not the most powerful overall. Turbo and GT3 are PDK-only. You could also say it uses the most powerful Carrera engine, as the Carrera GTS offers 430 horses while the Carrera S is 400. The Turbo, etc, aren't marketed as 'Carreras,' and neither is the Targa 4 for the matter - it combines the Carrera GTS engine with the open-roof design.

In the intro, I mention that the Targa 4 GTS combines the most stylish version of the 911 (the Targa) with the most powerful version of the Carrera (the GTS) at 19 seconds in. I think in 2015 it would look strange lifting out targa top manually. Also, it's quiet ingenious that they were able to fit the whole mechanism for targa top over the engine so you still have storage space in the front and unobstructed rear-view. I likes it !
Watching someone that dresses like he's 14 with painted nails and rather odd facial hair complain about the superb engineering involved in the automatic targa roof was the point I switched off.
Oh dear! ..did I really just watch a video of a 'guy' with lamb chops & an uneven goat patch on is face -- who paints two fingers on one hand black -- say he's not a fan of the Targa because it takes too long for the top to retract?? I'm thinking it would take longer to don those nifty cargo pants & wrinkle resistant pocketed bowling shirt than the ~20 seconds it takes to put the top up or down on one of the most iconic vehicles ever created. Maybe he should spend 20 extra seconds grooming himself more evenly OR practice doing an automobile review without having more hand gestures than spoken words. I guess some people just can't be pleased!
I lost just almost 7 minutes of my life, due to this absolutely useless video! However I could look at this Targa model for about 1 hour - it is that beautiful!

sorry i feel the same way about the pop top. I think it would be cooler i don't think the whole glass moving back is "cool" its silly and unnecessary.
