Do be more specific...Suriname is a country on the northeastern part of South America. This country was colonized by the Dutch until 1975. The Suriname population is very diverse. The people living there are Native South Americans or Amerindians ( Indigenous Peoples are the Kaliña (Carib), Lokono (Arawak), Trio (Tirio, Tareno) and Wayana), descendants from Africa, Asia (India, and China), Europe, Indonesia and some Middle East. The official language is Dutch from the Netherlands. Many languages are spoken as you can imagine. The singers were singing Surinamese , which is a creo language mixed with the following: West-African dialects, Dutch, French, English, Portuguese, and Spanish. Suriname also has black tribes that speak their own dialect, that can be traced back to West Africa. I hope this helps some of you who love culture.
