The middle of the claw has a magnet (I’ve won plushies with chain links before because of this) which stuck to the case of the watch. That’s why it was able to pick it up but the magnet wasn’t strong enough to bring it all the way to the chute.

I think it should move the arm little behind the watch and push it. It’s better to push than try to grab for like the weak arm. I always do like that way :) good luck next time :))

I'm pretty lucky when it comes to the ping pong droppers just not the claw games sometimes haha. I remember I won on a ping pong dropper at round 1 and had to find an employee at the front and when I got back to show them I won it was reset!! Someone cheated and found someone on the floor and told them that they had won it :( they still gave me my prize but that's just wrong!!!
