Sphinxes hmm? Interesting beings to say the least. Though their powers over time are downright terrifying. Luckily they don't seem to serve evil, in most cases at least, so I don't have to worry about them.even if there do happen to be any residing within these lands. I'm kept busy enough slaying other monsters, like last week I had to deal with a platoon of hobgoblins! Seeking to capitalise on the lands current weakness they attempted to take one of our towns. The mist difficult one to deal with was their leader, who was backed up by more hobgoblins playing drums.

When brian was making the joke of the sphinx complaining about an adventurers filthy armor, for some reason I thought of this dumb scene in my head I made up.
Hero: *walks in*
Sphinx: *scoffs* oh look, now you've tracked mud in here onto the floor with those filthy boots. I'm to busy over here with my divine task to clean that up too, so now the floor will be eternally filthy while I stay vigilant in my task.
I like these sphinxes, the time powers and the divine themes around them is really cool. Although I kind of miss the version of them I always knew where you had the females always avoiding the evil sphinxes while chasing the androsphinxes. It was weird, but it gave them an interesting dynamic that set them apart from other similar creatures such as manticores. Btw do the other types of sphinx not exist anymore in 5E? Because i remember reading up on at least two other varieties including a goat headed kind.

As I understood the time traveling bit, everything in the lair is moved through time, meaning that going back would not cause you to have another sphinx inside with you.
YES YES YES! I've been waiting a long time until you discuss Sphinx. I looked in the Monster Manual and fell in love with the lore. Their lairs are basically time machines! Not exactly, but with some homebrew flavor you could have some amazing quests and having time travel that kinda fit in most games since it's an ancient lair with unknown magic. This could work well too if your game has Dunamancy and maybe Sphinxes created it Idk. It's just cool alright. It's cool

Nobody shot at the sphynx. The myth was that Napoleon's men did, shooting off it's nose, but really it was the 3,000 or so years of wear and tear that made the nose fall off.

Knowing how egotistical the Greek gods are, the reasons were probably all petty as shit.
My sphinx's have 6 legs(different kinds of felines, my favorites are panther and snow leopard) and a humanoid torso with 4 arms like goro and a massive pair of wings. i also don't have monstrosities in my game so they are celestials created by a knowledge god why they have riddles

The most conflicting monster in mythology for me. I want to like them, and I mostly do, but the faces creep me out. They are like hella cool versions of cats from the Cats movie/play

From what I have heard, UA-cam is at the all time low in paying youtubers.
I read also in an article that if people want to grow their channels, get lots of views. They have to have a large continious traction of traffic, likes, comments. And their channels/videos will be placed higher in recommendations.
That and UA-cam is starting to become more communist every day
