Definitely the best channel on UA-cam, whatever my mood is I never skipped one video. Happy? watch a video to be even happier. Sad? watch a video to cheer you up. Big up from Italy 🇮🇹
So happy you’re posting again, I started watching 3 years ago & always looked forward to when you’d post! I totally understand why you haven’t done much in the last year, I would’ve never thought some products would cost $30+!!! Editing & filming looks great :)
I definitely like the color on the 1950's/1960s french fried onions compared to today's french fried onions. Or, maybe it's the lighting? Either or, I'm surprised that vacuum sealed container of the old can held up for many decades.
I think it said 12-19-67 on the oldest can. It's crazy how well they aged, they looked nearly identical to the brand new ones. I liked the box fire at the end, mixed with the snow. Great video 👍
I love that can opener! Who would've thought the sound of it would bring back such great memories for me! Love your videos! So glad you're back and wish you the best!
Old people don’t throw anything out that’s never been opened. They usually don’t ever plan on eating it but, they can’t bring themselves to throw away an unopened item. My dad is the same way.
I love your videos. I’ve worked 3rd shift stocking at a grocery store for 22 years now and I love seeing all these old products. I have a few that maybe I’ll send you one day to open. Anyways thanks for the great content bud!
I’m loving these new videos! Your “studio” is awesome. It’s cool to see all the things you’ve collected from previous videos. I really love the editing too! Seeing you pop in and out of nowhere always makes me laugh 😂 Thank you so much for doing these 😊
I really love your channel because every youtube star tries to be over the top and clickbaity You're just the most normal funny down to earth dudes Keep doing your thing
I always enjoy your videos. I love the fire at the end, and especially appreciate your caring and compassion for the animals. Thank you so much for such interesting videos.
I am doing that with a can of sweet corn I found in my pantry. It expired in 2019 and I'm planning to open it on my 30th birthday (which will be on march 29th 2030)😂
I have an unopened glass bottle of soda on my shelf that was released as part of a video game promotion and part of me wonders if some collector will get ahold of it when I die and it will be worth something to someone after I'm gone. And then they'll open it and taste test it and my ghost will be sad because I intentionally left the liquid in it. 😆
i think it's dated Dec 19, 1967. I'm old enough to remember those French Fried Onions were a holiday addition and not that common. just my opinion. love these videos!
I grew up with bowls EXACTLY like that in the 1980s as a kid!!! Not just that colour either, we had maroon, yellow, dark green, dark blue and probably others. I only have 2 of those bowls left.
I remember those Durkees O&C products. They also used to sell potato sticks in a similar can. Last.time I seen them is when I was a youngster, probably back in 1966 or.67.
Early squad let's go!!! Your content has grown over the years!!!! I love how I watch each video get better and better. You are incredible!!! I will always love and support you, man!!! You RULE!! Love the different camera angles as you were naming the products!

One thing I've always appreciated is that you look out for animals. Thanks for your kindness to animals and for your great content. God bless you. Also, any plans for more nature videos or exploring old houses? Looks like a nice winter landscape where you are.
@@wtbeecher What are you talking about, dude? Green bean casserole doesn’t come in a can. The green beans and mushroom soup ingredients do, but you have to make the casserole with the French onions that aren’t in a can. There is no such product of a premade green bean casserole in a can.

I turn on your videos to fall asleep because they’re so relaxing to me. The only problem with that is that I end up watching the entire thing instead. 😂
The numbers on the can from the 60’s was probably an expiration date even though they didn’t need to but it would be easy to understand if it needed to be thrown out.
Hmm. Fried onions contain a lot of oil, and oil will go rancid when stored with air. I tried some that were a few years old (but still originally sealed) and they were absolutely terrible.
Here in China they have some amazing fried mushrooms called 干炸蘑菇 which are delicious! Watching this made me want some real bad. Awesome video, thank you!
It's, because they mostly made canned food in that time for true nuclear war, based on cold war standards. Today food is mostly made just for nature disasters, what Is mistake what can ve costly.
@@Wizisongs Also, things were just better made back in the 50s & 60s. Manufacturers didn't try to make the absolute cheapest product to sell to the public like they do today. And that appears to even include things like packaging.

Trippy to see the Glidden Paint logo on the Durkee's can. Reminds me of the Dow Chemical logo on some household products into the 90s.

that can opener sound. When I was a child and we opened cans the cat would come running because she thought that meant food every time.
Loved the fire bit as well! Oddly satisfying to see those fried onions go up in flames
I love French fried onions and so versatile for recipes. It's the crunch I love besides the onion flavor.
I think the closest thing with have to French fried onions in the UK is fried onion rings which are frozen and you cook in the oven.

Frozen onion rings are nothing like what's in the can, but both are great.
