- Lawyers for actor Kevin Spacey are trying to bar an expert who testified in convicted sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell‘s federal trial from testifying about the credibility of Spacey’s accuser in his civil sexual assault trial scheduled to begin next week. If you're trying to prevent someone from testifying, then it means you're very scared of that witness.
They are trying to prevent a court specialist from saying that they "know" the man is telling the truth and is trustworthy. No specialists refer to the level of believability of the plaintiff, her job is to tell the story how she has been told it. She has no first hand knowledge of that day. Mayyyybe she could refer to what victims typically say and do and try to have the jury make those connections.

As I look back now, being a lover of movies, Spacey really was a terrible one dimensional actor.
It is cause people are afraid to speak out. They will lose their job or credibility. One thing today is phones and cameras are so available. This allows for things to be exposed quickly. Which leads me to suspect not just that there are more accusers/stories, but that one or more of them could be worse than anything up to this point has been alleged.
If most or all of the accusers out there that Spacey needs to worry about had already either said their peace or let Spacey essentially buy their silence…it’s not totally impossible that he could eventually-maybe five or ten years from now-pull off a small- or medium-scale professional comeback, if he continued to: a) keep laying low; b) behave himself, or at
least keep his sleazier antics far away from the public eye.
But faced with another major bombshell? At that point, he’s probably cooked.
