Glad that you are good. I don't like pills either. Especially horse pills, omg!! It has to be gummies or liquid for me. The liquid is often torture, lol.
Excellent advice, I just had both done at the same time Thanksgiving week, no tumors or polyps (🙏🏾) but a small hernia was found - not getting surgery for that. I'll have to do the endoscopy again next year to rule out the Big C completely.
Hi Monroe, I’m happy that everything went well with your colonoscopy. I too had to get one earlier than expected however I did have colon cancer but I caught it super early and now I’m two years cancer free. So important to know your body. 🙌🏽🙌🏽
Good for you. I had some stomach issues. Got a colonoscopy. Had stage IV colon cancer...Feb, 2019. Fought with chemo and surgeries...and lots of love and care and encouragement from my daughters. Been cancer free. Praying it continues. Glad you are caring for yourself. Praying for your best. Love all the varied, well put together, content you present. 💓👍
Hi Monroe. I’m so happy that you did this video. I’m 66 years young. I’ve had 2 Colonoscopies. You are proactive and I love it. Keep caring about your health. 💕
I admire you for sharing your experience. These procedures are NOT just for us old folks. The key to a long and healthy life starts with a mindset like yours...being in touch with your body's needs. I hope others take to heart the value of self-care...mental, physical, and spiritual.
Monroe thanks for sharing and I love your straightforwardness. Nothing wrong in talking about things that affects our health (well being). We have to encourage each other to check things out if not feeling well. I was to comment awhile back there's nothing wrong with becoming a snow bird(six month in N.Y.C. and the other in Miami). Love how you're thinking. All the best in obtaining your first investment property and continue to stay safe.
Its good you are taking good care of your self. Having that done is very important. Rather u r young or older. It's good you're getting it done at young age. That way u can catch any unhealthy health problems & get it taken care of. In 2017 i was prep for mines & refused they un hooked my IV and every thing because i had 4 heart attacks in the past, I'm diabeted, I have neuropathy, arthritis in my chest cavity & i feel at work and got more injuries 2 years now. But looking at me no one can tell, I'm lovely and look extremely healthy. I do take care of myself. I don't let it get me down. Just needed to share that to who reads this. Take care of yourself ladies. I always did but...but his stripes im healed and blessed.
Good morning, Chica. We love you, too! 😍 Thanks for glimpses of the city. I miss it so much. Yeeees, for the Scoop look. That BLM mural. ✊🏾 You made it through. 👏🏾👏🏾 I’m proud of you!! Thank God you’re okay. 🤗🤗
I’m proud of you for getting that procedure. I know several people who have gone on and they weren’t proactive about their health. I preach this everyday.
Hi Monroe, You had me worried there for a second, when I read the title, " my first surgery". I am proud of you for being proactive when it comes to your health. I'm glad everything checked out well and all is good!! Keep Bouncing Forward my Love. Peace and Blessings to you. Keeping you in my prayers. I love you. Thanks for Sharing. 🍫☕🌶⛄✨ / "🍔"
Great to hear everything worked out for you! My sister, who's a doctor, told me the exact questions to ask, especially when it came to getting a colonoscopy, as well as, medical treatment as black women. My doctor insisted that I was too young for one. Mind you, I was in my early 40s. It wasn't until after my follow-up visit that my doctor said that the insurance company had lowered the age for colonoscopies. They did find benign, polyps. So all is well. Again, I had to insist that my doctor write my surgery's prescription. I know how medical apartheid operates and trust and believe, WE, have to be adamant with our health providers. As usual, great content!
Like you I have been having some abdominal issues for many months and since I was of age my provider convinced me to get a colonoscopy and Egd ( endoscopy ) which was able to look at my stomach and not just intestines. Nothing major found except a few internal hemorrhoids and a benign polyp and some gastritis on the pathology report. I felt better getting the test especially with all these cases of black people getting colon cancer and my other biggest fear was about going under anesthesia- but I met with the anesthesiologist prior and she made me feel better . Thankfully the procedure went well for you and me. In my case I still have some symptoms not explained by the tests so I am planned for a gallbladder ultra sound to check for cholecytitis . Wish me luck. ps clearly I have no shame putting out my business (- "
My colonoscopy is booked for Tuesday the 15th. My mom & her brother died from colon cancer. Have to keep up to date on the procedure every 3 years. Good on you for taking charge of your health Monroe🙏
You had me startled. You will be fine. The worse part of your test is the cleansing out of your body . They put you to sleep; so I'll be Praying for a Good report. Being proactive is very Smart. Continue on your health journey. Everything will fall in place. You're dynamic. Been looking for new vitamins and supplements. Be safe and blessed 🥰❤
I've never done the test before, but since I'm in the age group where I am expected to, I will be scheduling one soon. Thanks for all the tips sis! XOXO
Thank you for your transparency and great, varying content on your channel! 🌟 I am so relieved to hear that all went well! 💕 I will continue lifting you in prayer! 🙌🏾 I am so proud of you! 🥰 Love from Houston 🤗❤😘
Hi Monroe, Thanks for sharing this health information with us. I'm happy that everything was fine with you. The worst part of the colonoscopy procedure is the prep. Stay vigilant with your health, and stay safe.🙏🏾
Monroe, thank you for sharing this. I’m having mine (colonoscopy and endoscopy both) in this month as well. It is very important to keep our eyes on our bodies after 35 (I am now 46). Hope everything goes well with you. Sending hug!
Hi Monroe thank you for showing the vitamins for women from CVS Live better. I've been looking for a multi supplement, so thank u sweetie i always appreciate you. Your mother must be very proud of u. You are so humble and kind always shouting out your friends & others. I have a 33year old daughter and i love her dearly. U remind me of my daughter in some ways. Humble, Kindness & love for others are a few. Stay beautiful & true to you. Much blessings to u. 🙋🙏💓😇👼
There wasn't a doubt in my mine that this was going to go badd cause you are a real blessing to so many of us so God is always on your side and he knows we need U💞💞💞💞💞💞💞👑👑
Thank you for using your experience to educate people about how important it is to take ownership of your own health. I work in cancer services and you would be surprised how many members of our community get past the point of help because they ignored what was going on and didn't go to a doctor/change to a healthier lifestyle. Sometimes it's just small tweaks that bring huge benefits. No-one says you have to be in the gym 7 days a week but light exercise, a vitamin supplement regimen and healthier food choices make all the difference.
Hope all is well, I too have a colonoscopy scheduled for January. I always had stomach issues so making sure everything is alright since stomach cancer runs in my family. 😁🙏🏽
Hey Monroe, happy to hear everything checked out good, I'm praying for continuing good health, "cause I don't want to go without you and your videos"LOL. Stay Safe Be Bless
Hugs to you! I hope you feel better soon. Gut health rules our whole bodies and mind. I am sure CVS will help you with the proper support of vitamins and probiotics! xoxo
Alright now the opening music is fire also feel better be safe. I’m glad you on top of your health!!! You reminded me to also get a new toothbrush and vitamins from cvs. I have care club. The $10 helps. Let me tell you having surgery during this time was hard I was paranoid 🤦🏾♀️
Thank you for this very informative video/vlog. Preventative health care is so important. Yes, l am one of your older viewers and l love 💕 your channel. I’m so glad that everything turned out well for you. Continue to take care of yourself. Again thanks for sharing.😊
It’s so hard finding vegetarian vitamins as gelatin is in everything! So grateful to know I don’t have to drive 20minutes each way to get my next batch 💃🏾💃🏾😍
Kudos to you for being proactive about your health, but also being transparent about symptoms you’ve experienced and your colonoscopy. I’m 35 and considered having one after a couple ppl I know (one in their 20s) has one this year. After watching, I’m pretty sure I will too.
Hi Miss Monroe I'm thankful to know that your test went well and the surgery was a success. It's indeed so important to be proactive with our health, thank you for sharing your story, as well as highlighting the necessary items that can be beneficial, via your CVS collaboration. I'd like to take a moment to send you all positive thoughts and love, because one never knows what anyone is going tnru, concurrently with the present climate that we're all experiencing, it's imperative that collectively we hold each other up, stay safe everyone. Thank you! They were actually supposed to remove the hemorrhoids but they weren't the grade they thought they were when they viewed them so they left them....hence why I kept referring to this as a surgery.
Nice of you to give so much important information. Historically in the black community we tend not to go to the doctor or talk about real things everyone is faced with. Thanks Ms.Monroe FYI hemorrhoids can be such a b*#* at times but we move on. Happy to know your good! CVS info is life!
Hi Sis I had my colonoscopy/endoscopy 3months ago thank you Jesus 🙌🏽 all was well as it is with you that prep was horrific but the peace of mind is priceless ❤
I also had problems with my. Mean while keep on sending us these beautiful vlogs, just love them, stay bless!
I feel what you're going through, I have had two colonoscopies and the prep was not pleasant. I had to drink a gallon of liquid nastiness and spent all night on the toilet...luckily I was in good health and i felt nothing. Health is wealth so I put on my big girl panties and did it....good advice for all of us and I would encourage everyone to get one.
So happy that you're being proactive concerning your health. I've been through a lot of tests since I have lupus and none of it is a party, but it's good to know where you stand with your health. I love the sun but, sadly, it doesn't love me. Sunscreen is my best friend for sure.
Monroe..Health is Wealth..a good example and reminder as we head into 2021..Thanks for inspiring me to live my best life..Monique..Pasadena California 💯

No weapon formed against you shall prosper. By his stripes you will be healed.
Make sure you get an Endoscopy too. My tumor didn’t show up in colonoscopy but did show up in the endoscopy. It could save your life. ✝️
