I thought long and hard about which first playthrough I would watch for the release... Yesterday was the release and I played for 15 hours straight and just love everything about the DLC. For me it's one of the best works Fromsoftware has ever made and probably one of the best gaming experiences I've had in my life. So I've been thinking about which playthrough I'll look at first when I'm well advanced in mine. Well, to be honest, the decision was easier than I thought... There is only one creator who plays the games with the same dedication, love and enthusiasm as I do. It is of course Oro! At this point, thank you oro for your work over the last years! If one thing has consistency in my life it's the joy of watching you play a fromsoft game for the first time. And yes yes I know (insert * "ur such a great streamer" First time message emote ) But fck you! Some things just need to be said :)
Why is it that the damage in my ng+12 character is off the charts, like dogs can kill me with two bites, and most enemies can almost one shot me. I know u need those things to balance the damage but damn, it’s insane. I’m currently stuck with Rellana cause all her moves one shot me
Explore and get more Scadutree Fragments. It affects ALL damage (increases your damage dealt, decreases damage taken) by a significant percentage, and everything in the DLC deals pretty high damage already, so even the most basic enemies will whoop you if you have none. Add to that the NG+ difficulty and things compound to explode you.
@@Fasumbra you are absolutely right. The damage just keeps increasing exponentially but that’s ok, it’s more fun that way. Bru but Rellana health bar was over 100k with mimic. That was insane, and at that point, I didn’t have enough Scadutree fragments at all. I’m at the 🦏 rn 💀😔
How does oro boosted defense so much?, for being ng+7 the damage looks very small, i was wearing a perfumer mask, radahn chestplate and lionels gauntleds and leggings, with a large shield talisman and i was taking like 2.5 more times the damage in NG +0
I wonder how much NG+7 is actually playing into the difficulty, I did the DLC lvl 150 at NG+0 and the damage looks about the same at the start before any blessings

I might have the wrong armor for my build or something. I was lvl 233 getting 1-3 shot by everything on ng+6. I spent 2 hours farming last night to max out my vigor and now its a bit more normal but still hard as hell.
Hey Oro. Big question as a pure mage player. Do you know if the Tree Blessings increase damage of spells cast, or would you say its a weapon and absorption buff?
@@nickguarino7592 Digging through the weapons and arts.. they didn't exactly set us up with nearly as much cool goodies as the faith and melee players.
@@XXavierSin-XXs in case you don’t have it yet there is a sword that acts as a staff in the dlc. This is huge for casters, though the new line up of spells is a little disappointing.
I'm not 100 percent sure yet, but i think the DLC bosses and enemies don't scale with the new game plus cycles. They are insane either way. You get the same number of runes no matter what new game plus you're on, that is confirmed.
You know what's crazy that fire Giant in the dlc when he grabs you and you spin in his head that's a reference from the chaos eaters in dark souls 1 when they grab you and they put you in there head full of teeth and you spin and also when you hit dlc fire giants legs it's stuns him to the ground that's another reference to dark souls 1 iron golem when you hit both his legs he falls over so this is pretty cool.

Oh man that really sucks, try using Faith buffs to maximize your phys damage reduction-it's not all about your armor! I am in NG+7 though, I even did it on stream 😁
Same thing happened to me. I used malikeths set with black flame protection and talisman that negates physical damage…I was getting two shitted by the blackgoal night
There is no way this is ng+7, the damage you took in the black goal knight fight was like half of what I took, and I’m sitting at level 467 with maxed out defence. Also had a blessing as well. Something isn’t right here.

Golden Vow + Black Flame Protection gives me 45% extra physical damage reduction, that's the big secret to surviving these higher NG+ cycles

I think the Solitude set is closer to Tarkus’ Black Iron set in appearance. Although I don’t recall it being as heavy as Havel’s.

I forget the name of the shield ash of war but it makes you temporarily invulnerable to all dmg and can help out a lot I'm this dlc from what I see

Increases all damage output by 4% and all damage negation by 4%

That dmg is not ng+7 dmg. The first miniboss alone did 2000 dmg with 2 hits to me on NG+7 with full Bull armor.

Holy shit the game runs like crap
If you're on pc, try disabling anti cheat and unselect core 0 in the task manager when game is running, worked for me
Try launching the game without EAC running. The game runs better without it. That does mean no online, though.
