    Had one for 13 years, truly the greatest dogs, king of dogs, but require a huge commitment and are high maintenance.
    After the one I had, it hurt so much to lose him, even though I had dogs before, now I can't seem to want another dog.
    Thanks though I recognize in your dog all the intelligence love and mischief that mine had.

    So cute! I was terrified of dogs when i was younger because i got attacked when i was 4. But then my mom got married to my step dad who had a GSP names sissy. she was the first dog i really opened up around! She was soooo sweet and the best hunter. I only knew her for a few years before she passed but she was definitely an angel. Now i have Toby who is also a GSP. He’s a great dog too. Very smart! And very talented when it comes to hunting. it’s amazing.

    Lol - so cute. Looks very much like my dog, except mine is a GWP (with reeeaaally shitty fur - i.e. short, slick and people always think he's a GSP). Behaves like mine too. I laughed when I watched this, since I discovered just like an hour ago, that the cats' food was gone when I came back from the laundry room in the basement... Wonder who it was... -___-
    Except mine can't really be alone at all... I'm a dogsitter since many years back, so he basically hasn't been alone a day in his life. At least not after he went berserk a couple of times alone at my mom's...
    God they're smart... My beast stole bread buns from mom's kitchen counter - but he didn't eat them. He's a total squirrel. He stuffed them down her laundry room floordrain instead. -__- And shoved the lid back on... Mom found them several days later when the water wouldn't go down...
    I find his stashes of bones and toys here and there, very neatly tucked away and hidden. They're truly amazing dogs, not just as workers, but as friends and pets too, and I can't really picture myself having any other breed again. Or well, other ones as well, but I have to have a GP. Always.

      I have a GSP/Labrador mix.
      Beautiful girl who inherited the slim figure and bigger ears from her dad (the GSP). She's very obedient, eager to learn and please and will do right about anything for a treat 😊 Very active, likes to run and jump but doesn't become hyper from a quiet day or two. She's turning 9 this summer but still looks and acts like a 3 y.o. 😅 Very goofy personality and wouldn't hurt a fly.
      She's not the bravest dog on earth, but I also picked her out from the litter, based on her being a bit more cautious with everything than the other pups ☺️

    • @jimducharme8563
      @jimducharme8563 5 років тому +2

      The tails are docked for function & it also looks very uniform & proportional for this sporting breed.. a long rat tail not only looks bad.. it's wagging intensity is a nuciance.. it is proven that tail dock does NOT hurt the dog or make they suffer in any way aslong as it done at the proper time when they are newly born.. why it is illegal in some countries only helps to define a globalist socialist society.. one that controls the people without freedom.. not cool!!!

    • @carolchapman7732
      @carolchapman7732 5 років тому +1

      Tail docking is painful
      Advocates of tail docking claim that it does not cause pain or discomfort, as the nervous system of puppies is not fully developed. This is not the case; the basic nervous system of a dog is fully developed at birth. Evidence indicates that puppies have similar, if not increased, sensitivity to pain as adult dogs. Docking a puppy's tail involves cutting through muscles, tendons, up to seven pairs of highly sensitive nerves and severing bone and cartilage connections. Tail docking is usually carried out without any anaesthesia. Puppies give repeated intense shrieking vocalisations the moment the tail is cut off and during stitching of the wound, indicating that they experience substantial pain. Inflammation and damage to the tissues also cause ongoing pain while the wound heals.
      All those awful "socialist" countries! Caring for the welfare of animals and their humans...
