I got hired four months ago as an assembler 3, the job isn't what I expected... All I've been doing was picking and prepping parts for orders... NOTHING ELSE. My supervisor said I was going to get trained to do some assembly but still never got trained to do so, the guy who trained me how to pick/prep parts is lazy and takes his sweet time so I think that's why Rockwell hired me. (Update) - I no longer work for Rockwell and is now doing medical assembly for GE Healthcare. It is a way better job I've had compared to Rockwell
Kinda misleading, showing dude at different stations. The guy in the background at a single station all day is more like it. Great work if you don't mind being a flesh robot. Be prepared to have everything you do timed and scrutinized for efficiency.
You seem like a preppy dude that probably had it made. Since you were born rich boy, some people got to start at the bottom. "Flesh robot" dude sometimes the poor got to move up, and get education to improve thyself. Not everybody got it like that
Its also great pay compared to other entry level work, no fancy dress code, no shitty customers. I have borderline personality disorder and the boringness calms my anxiety.
It depends on what company you work for. I work for Ericsson assembling 5G radios and it’s easy but I heard if you work at a GM assembly line. It can be tough.
@@infamousicee6009 oh okay got it, I’ve been thinking of transferring my dad from a mechanic to an assembler, not sure if it’s as physically demanding yet

Better to have this as remote work, it's inhumane to force people to work in these conditions.
So is it a hard job? Is it a lot to learn?
