    Liked and shared. Use the back door for a tub/sink and drying area as well work bench. If you put some “C” Pipe holders by on the Coleman side to hold a center pole for a large tarp, to be collapsed if necessary and deployed with a tent pole on each corner it would be a great chuck wagon box

    The certainly is an epic box! If you design another one, my only suggestion would be to ensure you can have the two stoves side by side so one person can use them at the same time....

    I really like the chuck wagon idea. I am thinking of building one onto a hitch basket so are not crowding the van with cooking gear when travelling, usable on the road and removable once we set up camp. My issue is weight to have sitting on the hitch as well as when trying to insert and remove it from the vehicle.

    I couldn't really appreciate all the bells and whistles of the trailer because I don't understand how all of the electricity, water hookups,etc. work. As someone who loves to camp and cook I can really appreciate this! I'm jealous!

      Thank you so much, my wife loves to cook and this chuck box completed her kitchen and fulfilled her cooking needs while camping last year. Looking forward to using it this year too. Thank you for watching.

    I appreciate how you used 1/2" sq molding(?) to brace the shelves. I don't have the tools & knowledge to make dados (sp?), but I can glue/screw/clamp the joints. Really nice job on your trailer and box, and thanks so much for making the time to share your projects!

    Another great build. I have the same Coleman road trip and use it for everything. They even sell stove grates that fit the grill, so pots and pans can be used on it.

      Thank you Ron, I'm definitely going to be thinking of some different ideas and ways to tweak this chuck box on the next build. This layout works great but just to heavy. Thank you for watching

    From South Africa, main objective of a chuck box has to convienience, no packing and unpacking of equipment, minimal assembly, and logical storage for ease of the process of eating, from preperation of food to washing and packing of the gear. Your build? ...... Not bad at all,... I understand the knocked together thing, and kudus to you you got it pretty much sorted. Comment.... dishwashing should be addressed in your next one....
    Lookin forward to what you do....

    Another brilliant design! I love watching your videos and checking out your designs. When you make it lighter you could us 1x's with 1/4" panels in place of the plywood sides. Also, since you don't use the back side door for prep you could attach your hot dog cooking and other long utensils to the door with hooks on each end, then they would be accessible and maybe free up some space on that side for other items.

      Thank you so much, great idea to use 1/4" material, that's probably what I'm going to do on the next build. This is a great thing to have at the campsite and I'm looking forward to making it light enough to handle easily. Thank you for watching

    Enjoy your handiwork! How heavy do you estimate this chuck box with your stuff in the box?

    • @TheFurrminator
      @TheFurrminator 8 років тому +1

      Thank you and good question, maybe 75lbs., I need to weigh it to see the exact weight so I have something to compare it to when I build a new one. I hope to start that project in the next couple months. Thank you for watching
