Very classy of the Giants to let Bobby Cox have a moment with the Atlanta crowd. I remember reading about this in A Band of MiSFits. It’s still hard this was ten years ago, time flies and I still get chills.

well in the 90s his teams had no depth and poor to mediocre bullpens. Add in overrated offenses, with poor bench players, and naturally every game that boiled down to the last couple of innings or extras, they lost.
Part of it also had to do with the Giants being aware that this was Bobby Cox's last game and they wanted to let the home crowd honor that. I'll always remember that from Bochy now that he's retiring at the end of this season.
Omar Infante must see the Giants in his nightmares.2010 with the Braves,2012 with the Tigers, and of course 2014 with the Royals.
+Dean Rockwell And then when we win it all he's on IR. Poor bastard.
+Commander G.L.R Wow good to know my brother. Thanks for the info
Want to talk about a poor bastards. How about Brooks Conrad? The Giants should have mailed him a ring.

God what an unreal season this was
God what an unreal season this was
Only seemed fitting for Bobby Cox to go out on this note. This was the type of playoff game that his teams almost always seemed to lose.

They don't celebrate too hard. Other teams I've seen winning a division series overkill.

Exactly.
