Penguins score 2 in 22 seconds - Game 5 2016 Finals (NBC)

I'm game 5 of the 2016 finals the Penguins had a chance to win the Stanley Cup on home ice for the first time in franchise history. The game was hyped up, big time. Despite the hype around the Penguins they had a slow start giving up 2 quick goals the Sharks. However they responded the way they always do and scored 2 goals in 22 seconds. The building was absolutely electric. Unfortunately for the Penguins they lost the game 4-2, however they won the series 4-2 over the Sharks. Despite the outcome of the game this is one of my favorite moments in Penguins history ever. Maybe someday the Penguins will win it at home, that would be something.
An interesting story is before the game I predicted that the Penguins would have am awful start and give up two goals early, but come back. I actually missed the start of the game on TV and listened to it on the radio. The Penguins were down 2-0 when I get home. After we got out of the car I changed to the radio on my phone, and Malkin scored. Then when we got inside I immediately turned on the TV and the goal horn was going off. I was confused because it's usually the radio that's behind not the TV. I also noticed on the first replay that malkin wasn't involved in the goal at all. Then I realized that we had scored two goals. What a feeling. Sorry if this story is irreverent, but why not tell to everybody.

Stupid Jagoff I agree. I think everyone, including me got way too caught up in them winning it at home. Honestly part of that may have caused that slow start for the Penguins. Atleast the Penguins have experience with it now, so if it happens again, you know what could happen. ;)

Man what a sequence of events.. I remember that day.. I remember watching pre game and how many people came out to the arena to potentially celebrate the championship at home. I was definitely excited that day. Hope the next one is won on home ice

I'll never forget being inside for that game. One of the most hearbreaking losses of my life. I thought there was no way in hell we'd lose after we came back to tie it. Phil Kessel missed a wide open goal before the Sharks scored and I always thought if he scored that one I would've seen the boys skate with the come in front of my very own eyes at home

@Aidan Smith Well they were 1 goal away from doing it, and furthermore had a lead in the final 2 minutes of the only game they lost in the first 4. 1 bad goal late in a game cost them a sweep, so I'm sticking with yes they should have.
