Today I'll be giving a nod to the past - featuring my 1954 Gillette Super Speed Flare Tip Safety Razor, which is a smooth and stylish vintage DE blade that's a great choice for new wet shavers. I'll also be featuring pine and pepper, my new favorite artisan soap and splash, from the fine folks at @elysiansoapshop lathered up with the awesome cork handle, premium synthetic badger brush from my good friends @pacificshaving
I'll be giving my tips and techniques for new wet shavers and old clowns alike. Enjoy! - Навчання та стиль
Glad you’re feeling better, Tony! Looking forward to the next shave!
Thanks for watching- dropped a relaxing DE shave video today.
Glad to see you feeling better bro!
Thanks, brah!
Great video. You really did a good job explaining the nuances to those new to wet shaving. Your advice to only do one or two passes when starting out was on target. The best advice is to use a light touch. Never press the blade to the skin. Let the weight of the razor do the work. Your cold sounds like it has mostly faded away. Keep pushing!
Bart!! Thanks!
i love these videos, i don´t watch those shorts at all plus some how i cant reply to shorts. Speedy recovery great shaving video brah stay safe, cheers....Peter
Peter! I’m all shorted out! I don’t enjoy making them as much as these longer videos. I’ll still do some, but taking a short break from shorts for now. :) thanks for watching, brah!
Fantastic shave you got there Tony. I believe that razor has two brothers one with a blue tip which is mild and a red tip which is aggressive.
Yes! I need to find the brothers for my collection! #Gora
Great video!
Thanks, babe!

Thanks, brah!
Hey tony i ordered the leaf twig and I'll get it tomorrow i hope it's safe to use off Amazon
Let me know how you like it. 👋🏽
@@averageguytested okay is it safer to use over a de razor as far as shaving goes
@@averageguytested well I got the leaf twig today and it was fine i didn't cut or nick myself once and I was able to untwist the top and put the blade in correctly and twist it in place
Why using safty razor? Its not safe compared with sensors as an example plus it is so slow.
Many of the viewers like to see safety razor reviews. I try to keep it balanced. Thanks for watching 👋🏽
Hey Tony!! You are using the regular superspeed from the original trio. The blue tip was the mild razor, the silver tip was the medium razor, and the red tip was designed for heavier beard growth. All three inspired what we all know as the Gillette Toggle and the 195 Adjustable aka Fatboy! The superspeed is the one razor copied most by other manufacturers due to it's iconic design. The build quality is second to none! Unfortunately they can never be truly replicated due to all of Gillette's factories no longer existing. The stamping equipment required for these beauties would cost millions to rebuild. This is why Gillette won't ever recreate the Fatboy, Slim, Super 109/84, etc. Global Shave Club (that was the name at the time) recreated a replica of the Fatboy. It was decent, but you could definitely tell the difference between the original(stamped metal) and the Fatguy(cast metal). Nonetheless, if you acquire these vintage razors, value them!! They are a once in a lifetime treasure! Glad to see you are feeling better! Jimmy G.
Hey Jimmy G how do you manage to get rid of the irritation while chasing the bbs
@gorachand1235 One, my skin can handle it, two, I use very good, slick soap, and 3, I use platinum coated blades. I get great shaves! I don't recommend this to all though. Everyone's skin is different. Also, beard map your face, this makes a world of difference!
Jimmy G!! The Master of Shave! Happy to have you back visiting the channel. Hope all is well - and as always, thanks for the knowledge 👋🏽
