Hi I have just mount c&h defender plate on mycket glock 17 gen 5 mos. The red dot is holosun 507c x2 when I look it is some space in The Middle of The red dot and the polymer plate is that normal?
That doesn't sound right. Everything should fit relatively flush. There's a tiny space (please see 08:15 of the video). Did you get the correct plate? My first video install on this, I got the wrong defender plate. This video shows the correct plate install. make sure you got this one: chpws.com/product/defender-mos-holosun-407c-507c-round-face/ Make sure you get a torque wrench (Wheeler FAT wrench is what I use now) to get the sight torqued down correctly.
J Horne, sorry to hear about your MOS plate. I’ve only had the V4 Defender for around a month or so. I haven’t had it long enough to give you a long term review but so far so good. And from those that have used the V4 Defender plate long term, I have only heard good things. I feel confident enough with mine to encourage you to buy one as well. The company ships out everything really fast, has good instructions, and even offers all of the assembly tools needed.
@@j.r.777 Think I'm gonna pull the trigger and get one, especially considering how the Forward Control design plates are super back ordered. 11 rounds was all it took for my OEM plates to fail on me, not even a full mag lol!
J Horne, if you don’t have the proper install equipment, I highly encourage spending the extra $99.95 and getting this. chpws.com/product/mrds-maintenance-kit When you talk to them, let them know that J. Ralston from Colorado referred you.
