Before i met my husband, people used to say that i was ugly, i got a flat nose, i didn't use any whitening stuff to glow up my skin, i got pickles sometimes.
Till i met my husband. A blonde, blue eyed man.. He was the first boy that said "you're beautiful". Even now 8+ years married and after having 2 kids, with my stretch marks, my fluffy belly, still no whitening cream, and no plastic surgery, he always says "you're beautiful".

I love that the girl had a supportive and encouraging family.
She is not ugly. Just needs a good skin care routine and perhaps get checked for hormone imbalance and check her vitamin and minerals level. Skin like that doesnt mean someone is ugly or dirty. Its just a reflection of an underlying internal problem. My cystic acne and depression was caused by severe vitamin b and vit a deficiency.

Even without makeup or filters, nobody looks exactly how they are in their best pictures, when they are absorbed in housework. Expecting someone to look great 24x7 is a totally unrealistic expectation. Unless you are an angel, it's not like you even deserve someone who always looks good.

Catfishing is so stupid. I could pretend being a super model and my date would have every right to be disgusted when I show up. Maybe he would have found me pretty and dated me anyways if I had not lied to him. I have ruled out men just for using pictures where they were slimmer than they currently are (maybe old pictures). I stayed one hour, had I drink which I insisted to pay for and said there would be no second date. Honesty is everything.

I was in a similar situation as this a few years ago.

Actually the opposite always goes with me. I know that I look a lot better in person than I do in my pictures. Everyone else agrees with me on that as well. In fact I always look horrible in pictures. I hardly ever look like myself in the damn pictures, and I don’t even know why!! It’s so unfair! That’s why I tend to avoid pictures most of the times!
