I love that the King is mad as hell at the end of this loop, suggesting that he remembered his previous loop and thought it would turn out differently.

The video captures the message of the song well, that time is in a sense the king of everything as everything in the end succumbs to it, no matter how hard we try to escape it.
And the crowned king is just a part of that cycle, while the being in the top hat is the cycle itself

The video kind of lost a huge part of the song's message that the video gave. Without the video that the ruler of everything comes with it seems hopeless but with the video is shows that there is hope in rebelling.

The message is that time is the ruler of everything, as shown by the “mechanical hands” being the hands of a clock. The voices are sort of perspectives on life, the low voice assumed to be Juno from the fist lyric, and the neutral and upbeat voice. The low voice points out the bad things, neutral is neutral, and upbeat is happy about life. The “in the gallows, in the ghetto” part is about how no matter where you are, time still ticks on. The line “do you like how I dance, I got zirconium pants” is about aging. Zirconium is a fake diamond, which in this case could represent anti-aging products, and the “you you like how I dance” could just mean “do you like how I look”. The “do you like how I walk, do you like how I talk, do you like how my face disintegrates into chalk” could just be a note that even though there are downs, there are ups as well. This also goes for the next couple lines. The fast part is too fast to decipher, and the last bits are just the main lyric again. Why did I comment this

I dont know why I get so sad listening to this. Maybe because our destinies and fate can be set in stone and is hard to change. Listening to this makes me so sad thinking about how existing is hard. I love the song but it kinda breaks my heart.
This video is like a metaphor, literally anythig you do, any mistake, any misspelled word you put on your essay has probably been done trillions of times. It might end with you re populating a planet like the king did and you wouldn't even remember it. Everything you've done starts and ends with the same cells. Nothing you do is special in any way. It's all been done time and time again. I'm starting to question why any if this is happening, but I know me asking myself this exact question has happened trillions upon trillions of times.

Okay, it seems most other people interpret "Mechanical hands" as time, but when I first heard it, I thought of robots, and human ingenuity; that is, in a general sense, our works. Our works are our destiny, they are what rule us, and they are our undoing. Our works create, they destroy, and everything is now just a construct. We are slaves to our own progress. You don't have to agree with me, I just thought that it's something interesting to ponder over.
