Back in 1967 while waiting to see a specialist with my mother, I picked up a magazine to read. I'm not positive, but I think it was Newsweek. The title page and main story was in relation to Arab candidates running for recent and ongoing mayoral positions in Arab municipalities. The story outlined the pressure and violence that was happening to candidates that took a tolerant, moderate position towards the State of Israel. It named a number of candidates whose persons and families had been threatened with violence, had experienced violence and even been murdered. This violence and murder has increased exponentially to Arabs in communities that are governed by Arabs since 1967. Violence towards Israel, and those who in any way tolerate the existence of The State of Israel, has been a major focus in the school curricula in Arab community education for over 2 decades now. The majority of people in and outside Israel, would love to see an influential Arab spokesperson, gain popular support among the Arab run communities in Israel. The chance of that is slim, unless such a person wielded immense power and resources capable of keeping them alive, from those in their own community.

I think it's true that a de-radicalization is needed in Gaza and the West Bank. Those areas could be self-governing but they must have a secular government like the modern state of Turkey has. Why are we still using the term Palestine to refer to Arabs when the Jewish people lived in that geographical part of the world long before the Romans decided to occupy that territory and rename it Palestine. The facts are the facts.

Back in 1967 while waiting to see a specialist with my mother, I picked up a magazine to read. I'm not positive, but I think it was Newsweek. The title page and main story was in relation to Arab candidates running for recent and ongoing mayoral positions in Arab municipalities. The story outlined the pressure and violence that was happening to candidates that took a tolerant, moderate position towards the State of Israel. It named a number of candidates whose persons and families had been threatened with violence, had experienced violence and even been murdered. This violence and murder has increased exponentially to Arabs in communities that are governed by Arabs since 1967. Violence towards Israel, and those who in any way tolerate the existence of The State of Israel, has been a major focus in the school curricula in Arab community education for over 2 decades now. The majority of people in and outside Israel, would love to see an influential Arab spokesperson, gain popular support among the Arab run communities in Israel. The chance of that is slim, unless such a person wielded immense power and resources capable of keeping them alive, from those in their own community.

A two state solution? There are 22 Arab counties and one jewish state. Do we need another? Have you thought why the other arab nations dont want the Palestinians in their countries? When theyve gone to other Arab counties they got a lot of terrorism. The Palestinians have a piece of land that was Egyptian. They could've made it an amazing place but chose to create a terror state where the people are reliant on Hamas as most of them dont work. However 17,000 people used to go from Gaza every day into Israel for work. They got paid a better wage there than in Gaza. The Israelis employed them in a bit to help end poverty in Gaza. Hamas put an end to that.

I think it's true that a de-radicalization is needed in Gaza and the West Bank. Those areas could be self-governing but they must have a secular government like the modern state of Turkey has. The founder of modern Turkey, Kemal Mustafa knew there is a difference between a religious country and a religious government. The population can consist of many religious believers, but the government must be run on secular principles, not built on any particular religion, although the people will have the freedom to practice whatever religion they want.

I think if Hamas had tried to build bunkers Israel would have stopped them. They were restricted on what they could bring into Gaza. Especially building material. Tunnels are a tried and true method in any open prison. See the film The Great Escape. Also good for smuggling in goods.
