Hey Vivian, I think i bought a perilla plant but the whole leave is green without purple so i might have bought an different kind of perilla… Anyways, I’ve seen people on youtube saying to keep the plant low so it will be bushy and give more leaves, but how do i do this?? The ones i bought are already pretty long, do i just cut the to the lowest leafs??
Harvest the size you like. Different sizes for different uses. We like them big for wraps, smaller ones I chop up for seasoning. Medium ones to soy sauce pickling for later. My plants get bushy no matter what. This year some of my plants are more mixed with the purple perilla.
