The thing that boggles me is the reasoning here. “Sure, go fight one another, it’s all good. But you gotta follow the rules.” Makes no sense, and most likely will be ignored when it suits those moving the chess pieces . Just my thoughts.
True but the value is in forcing leaders to consider their true odds of winning bc you wouldn't want to be facing war crimes as the defeated. Given the ease of internat'l scrutiny, oversight, & comms, you're not guaranteed a pass even as the victor. It's no longer dependent on the trickling & slow accumulation of evidence. Finally, tech shows it's value for humanitarian efforts!
I train detection K9s of all kinds, and there's still no shortage of demand for dogs that can detect various kinds of landmines. There are more and more animal alternatives cropping up, but you can't beat the reliability and longevity of a dog. I just try not to think of what happens to the dogs that aren't trained to perfection.
I saw a show about some countries training rats to detect landmines. They wear little harnesses and go across the field 1' at a time attached to strings that crisscross the area. I think they're also too light to trigger the landmines too.
Never consider efforts to implement rules of humanity as liberal acts of futility. Superficially, it appears a trite, pointless goal until you turn the page & realize the enforcement phase is implemented after the war. An Argentina exit plan won't always exist & tech will make it exponentially more costly not to factor in the ramifications of "war crimes" when considering tactics.
Because its a win-win situation for anyone in war. Its like if both countries are too afraid of a war weapon they can make an agreement to not use them, just to be more sure that they wont recive the same medicine. Im just a certified youtube commenter so there might be other who know more than me.
Yep, lasts weeks due to it's long half-life and being stored in fat. Suboxone withdrawal..I was still in it after 6 weeks and my blood pressure was 70/55 still. I'd lost my job and insurance and couldn't afford it.
War is, paradoxically, best fought brutally and shamelessly. Causing the enemy to surrender sooner, means fewer casualties and civilian collateral damage.
ALL 22 rounds ricochet in the body, because they're so light. The bigger rounds are more likely to go "through and through" (in 1 side and out the other).

These banned tactics, weapons, etc are an agreement only between the countries that signed the treaty. Many, many countries have not signed up for any rules. Iraq and Afghanistan, we had to follow rules that didn’t exist for the enemy.
A group of people got together and agreed to not use certain weapons on each other yet non of them and non of their sons will ever see the battlefield 😭 wake up

Cluster munitions are not going away. They are just too effective for enemy aircraft fields / fuel /ammo dumps, which stop invading countries, like the Russia is doing and wants to keep doing until stopped. Never over civilians.
In a civilized culture war is a crime. That being said if you are to go to war you are choosing to eliminate the enemy in whatever means necessary and accept retaliation for aggression. Its not nice but neither is war.
i only had 1 question, Why does, when the american create laser weapon, is ok. but when other country does the same, they questioned about it. AMERICANS IS NOT WORLD POLICE... why did they have the rights to tell others what to do???
The US says another country has a weapon of some kind and creates one much worse or feels it's ok to meet "said weapon" with one that's equal. That's worked well in the past hasn't it, especially for the US When will we learn 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
The GC and weapons bans only work if all involved adhere to it. Just because you wont use a given weapon, don't mean I wont. go on and keep that moral high horse when i win lol you could go to the U.N and file a complaint, but i've already proven i have no issues using weapons you can't or wont. so honestly, what is gonna stop me from using more and others?

(This is not meant to be aggressive or anything, just some feedback on how I view these 3 hour compilations) I'm honestly getting a bit annoyed with how many compilations are being churned out. I'm here for primarily news, then some fun facts and history, and occasional what-ifs. But it looks like it is getting hard for them to come up with fresh original content, and thus are resorting to reposting old things. If the trend doesn't change soon, I'll likely be unsubscribing.
I agree, they’re all from old videos just squished together. I can just find the video and watch it. I’m glad that the Russian/Ukraine content has finally stopped when it was literally the only thing available for several months, but now I feel like it’s just lazy work.
