Skate tool, Wax, laces, Shoe Goo, Phone Gimble are all in my bag and fine and dandy, but those aren't the most important to me. The most important is water. I always need water no matter where I go skating.

What about helmet and pads
Helmet is a close second but water is life. One of the worst feelings is planning for a long skate and realizing a few miles in that you forgot your water - or it fell out of your bag.

If you ever wonder what skate shoes to get, I rlly love vans shoes and usually ride them bc there super comfy and feel the best, the only downside is that they tend to wear down a little faster. But if you want to get a pair that will last the longest I STRONGLY recommend Etnies.

Being a mom and just getting into skateboarding, I already have a lot of these. The speaker, the power bank, the backpack, first aid kit and drinks. Since I just got into skateboarding I don't have the extra laces, shoes, or parts, but I'm building up to that.

I just bought a prebuilt board since I’m tight on money and a broke jr highschool kid whose starting college early, so I went onto warehouse skateboard and bought a complete Plan B board for exactly $95.00 wish me luck👍

I bought like the cheapest and worst skatebaord which cost like about $15 or smth and it's wheels don't even work properly and the reason why I bought it is so that I can practice on that and then buy a new skateboard this was my family's idea not mine🤣
So instead of having a skateboard backpack, because they will eventually break or get worn out and you’ll have to drop another $50-$100 every time you need a new bag, there’s a thing called a “Deck Hook” which really easily clips onto any backpack and holds onto your board without you even having to take your bag off, so all you need is a bag, and your deck hook, and you’re set 👍
i didnt know that existed. I've just been carrying my board by tying a shoelace to my bag strap and hooking the trucks onto there

I used to use my skate tool so much I would ride to the park with long bored wheels and then swap then to my skate wheels once I got there 😂

I have been wearing shin guards for about 3 years after a very bad injury and I can't skate without them anymore. It gives me confidence so I started to skate flat rails and did other tricks on the mini ramp that I never tried before. I'm 42 and I have been skating since I'm 11.

Spray-on plaster! Seals and disinfects the wound and gives you double the pain. Also, special tip: teflon spray, so the upper side of the shoe does not grind that heavily on the board and the shoe lives longer.

My park has one box with 4 outlets on a light pole right in the middle. The only catch is you have to sit with your shit or it’ll get ran over
2 of my local skate parks actually have them if you poke about.
Both of these skate parks have bbq spots and a playground right next to them and the power outlets are found in the bbq area and there are a few on light posts right in sight of the ramps.
I use a portable charger on my speakers and phone though but if my portable charger is running low and i have heaps of charge in my devices, ill go charge my portable charger there as if that goes walkies i wont cry as much as my phone or blue tooth speaker did.
I've always kept a full first aid kit in my backpack.
It always comes in handy.
Alcohol, tweezers, gaze, tensor bandages, slings.
lol So much gravel and glass pulled out.
So many rolled ankle wraps.
So many gnar hand/arm injuries.
Oh on that tip, Gloves are a great thing for skaters.
No more cold concrete slaps and cheese grater concrete shredded palms.

Because I am skating some vert, I basically always wear pads and a helmet even when skating street.
You just get used to it.
But a thing that a lot of people miss is a mouthguard. I know a bunch of people who have had some teeth or Jawinjury and a mouthguard can prevent a looot. Just try it.

@@dianafajardo9830 Yeah I skate mostly with some guys I know from icehockey so it is not such a big deal in front of them, but it is a bit weird in front of people that I don't know.
When I am in a really crowded park I only wear it when doing hard/new tricks because of that. Still it is good to have.

I honestly think this is the best video to make skateboarding better and what skateboarders should have this one where you foot get injured then and getting better she’s that don’t hurt your foot is the BEST one so far because this happeneds in every skateboards life,and the sheo goo is what you should ALWAYS have.
For the first aid kit, i normally just bring a small backpack with some bandages and something to clean the scrape/cut. I'm currently teaching a friend how to skate, she fell and scraped up her knee and legs pretty bad. she cleaned her scrapes and bandaged it up, she was fine and ready to go again. my advice is to just get up and walk it off if you can, after that clean it and bandage it up. the last thing a skater wants is a infected cut/scrape, they hurt like shit

We have been wanting to leave a yard broom at the local ramps for anyone to use as lugging a broom about sucks but some people cant share and nicked the last one i left there so i use softer wheels instead and the crap on the ground is not my problem anymore.

a skate tool. duh. never know when a wheel might suddenly become loose and fall off (unfortunately that happened to me)
if a wheel fell off you didnt set your board up properly, caring a skate tool to tighten your trucks or if you want to for some reason change out your bearings or wheels
@@pamier haha don't worry, i realized i fucked up that wheel specifically. i replaced my trucks after that.
one week ago my wheel just roll away, it was a bearing that broke. and yesterday a second wheel fell of -_- same issue

There is not a week that goes by that someone is asking to use my T tool at the skate park or im tightening up some kids trucks as they dont know how to maintain their gear yet.
it's helpful to note that you can find pretty small first aid kits that have everything you would need at a cheap price at wal-mart. I keep one in my backpack that I bring to every skate session. A lot of times just knowing that I have it handy just in case provides comfort and confidence in my skating.

Nah, parafine wax does _not_ work the same as skate wax. It tends to crumble more, which means a worse coverage on whatever ledge or flatbar you're using it on. You're going to need a lot of parafine, even when at first glance it might seem the same. And with skate wax, a little goes a long way anyway. You'll get your money's worth for sure. Last but not least, a good choice can also be the Everslick decks that allow slides without wax or putting some rails on your skateboard.
I love the cooler idea, I usually snag a 24pk of waters and fill it up without ice. That way I always have water in my car if I pass someone who looks like they need it or if I wanna drag it to a spot.

Adding rails to the sides of the bottom middle part of your board can make it easier to board slide on a rail and if it breaks in the middle then the rails will keep it together

Even though Camelbak is somewhat overpriced, my carrier from the Marine Corps., that also has some backpack room, has drastically saved each and every session since I learned how to ride. It'll hold each and every thing on this list (to some degree) and you'll have room for extra without compromising balance or comfort.

first aid kit ftw for just this: wanna encourage others? you show you understand you can/will get wounded, and you can help when it gets rough if they take a nasty spill, you can patch them up and help them get on their feet if even just mentally. it's good for the community to have one guy who knows first aid.
I'd like to add mini backpacks to this list for us ladies who skate, I prefer them over an over-the-shoulder purse and they're way more secure and don't come off if you're going hard. Most have a pocket up front and that's usually (where I keep my skate tool) also I like to carry chapstick and a bandanna as well especially if it's cold

2. Extra shoe strings
3.extra bearings (easy to bust)

6.skate tool or wrenches

9. Ability to be gnarly and go hard

I live in the Netherlands and our skate parks are open 24/7 and we have a water fountan next to the skate park and for me it is a 7 minut bike ride to get there. Aslo I just started and your video’s are verry fun to watch💪🇳🇱

Ok you don’t need these, especially if you don’t do board or lip slides often, but skate rails are really nice to have. Not just to protect the graphic, but it really reinforces the board and makes it last longer.
instead of massage guns u can also use a tennis ball or smt similar just roll out ur muscles on them it basically does the same but its cheaper!

I already have two boards but I've just been putting it off since I don't have a helmet or knee and elbow pads cause my mom seems to think I'll die without them

Get this, my little brother and I went to Ghana for Christmas in 2020 and got skateboards. When we got back all my friends wanted a skateboard. One of them had a dad who used to skateboard so she was all ready to go. my other two friends got skateboards as well. and now here I am with a friend who brock his wrist skateboarding, one who had recently brock their wrist skateboarding and one who pretty much quit.
Im 14 and got into skating but sadly cannot go out to a place that has smooth pavement but this video will be helpful in the future 😎👍

It seems that skaters are having difficulties to understand that safety and coolness are not even in the same ground of comparisson. This is a radical sport which means you could hurt really bad if something goes wrong.

Spent 60 bucks on a vans backpack with the straps in 6th grade, I’m a senior now and it’s been doing me justice ever since, especially riding my bike to all the spots I go to
