Christopher Judge is f***ing incredible. I've watched the Valhalla ending over and over and over and every time it feels like the first time. Seeing Kratos' face his former self, accepting his actions, growing into the man he has become is so emotional. Him finally understanding he can't change his past but his future is wide open for him to shape it how he wants it, finally being a God worthy of worship and love, this truly couldn't have been done any better IMO. THANK YOU FOR PLAYING THIS FRANCHISE!!!!
The DLC is so good, it puts Kratos’ whole journey (8 games) in another perspective. And it made me reflect on things in my life. I usually don’t play DLC, but this one is 10/10 for me.
Nobody ever expected this back in 2010 when we finished God of War 3.. he came back.. was not the man he was before starting this journey.. and now in the end. He will never be the same again. From the God of War ... to the God of Hope.. Lysandra, Calliope and Deimos, and specially Atreus would be very proud.
This has been a wild journey my brotha. You playing the dlc inspired me to finally finish it myself, the ending was amazing. Can't wait to see what's next.
Just thank you for this journey Mati, my favourite series in the world and you shared it with us all so genuinely. 7 months of this saga and its finally come to an end, Kratos' phenoemnal path as a character couldn't have been concluded in a better way, our 'God of Hope'! This game really imprints on your heart and the various themes resonate beutifully with the player. Its always bittersweet the ending when you are investeted so much in the world and its characters which feel so alive. But to experience this art piece again through your channel has been amazing!
The cycle truly ends here… Life is gonna be a little different not expecting Kratos and Mati uploads, I hope one day we come back to the franchise here on the channel to play Ascension or other. Until then, I think Valhalla is a perfect sendoff for one of gaming’s greatest characters of all time, at least for now. But honestly, though, that final fight with Týr is everything, like, it literally feels like it's supposed to: two gods of war having a friendly fight to the death. Its grandeur isn't in the scale, it's the impact of the punches, it's the casual remarks Týr makes in the middle of the fight, it's the powerful feeling of blocking and/or dodging his attacks. Odin put dirt on Týr's image, and my boy came back to polish that image 'till it shined brighter than the sun.
It is one of the greatest endings in the history of games and the God of War game is the best game series for me. I played it. It was the first game I played on PlayStation in my life. It was in 2007. I was really shocked. I mean, it was something like Kratos on a boat and there were monsters in front of you. The game only asks you to press triangle and square and it starts cutting. I became addicted to the Greek trilogy and also to the Scandinavian version. They were great until now. I watched all your videos about the God of War series. You did great.
Great conclusion to this part of the channel history Mati. This DLC is the perfect epilog for Kratos whole story! And like everything we love its also kind of sad to know its over... for now

From the Aegean sea to dominating Valhalla and becoming the God of Hope. I've been in this journey since the first chapter and seeing you play and suffer through GoW 1 becoming a semi-profesional at combat. Facing your fate and Zeus in GoW 2. Finishing with the twilight of the gods in GoW 3. It was a pleasure seeing someone play the classics because usually skips them to go straight to the new one. That's why I like you from the beggining and stay for many months. You wanted and got better at the combat, the same time, you care about the story and the characters and see past through the gore and violence. Of course the story can't be completed without GoW 2018 and Raganarok. There is nothing I can say that the games didn't express already. I'm just thankfull you play the classics so you could appreciate all the story and referencies there were, ending with Valhalla and its beautiful last scene listening to Kratos speeche. Although this is end. Who know? Maybe in the future we'll continue the story of the saga with Atreus exploring new lands. But for now, let's enjoy this moment because this just happens once. And please just for a last goodbye, react to the "Raising Kratos Documentary". There you will see the tale of how this new era came to be. Thank you for playing these games.

It’s so… true to have this chapter of Kratos’ story end like this, and watching this entire journey from you has been stellar. @@matiasgago Talking as a huge Monster Hunter fan here: knowing your content Mati, I think you would enjoy the gameplay of MH, but be aware that most MH games don't have nearly as developed stories/scenarios as the GOW series you've just finished (and are often a bit underwhelming imo), it can also be a bit grindy... BUT if you are looking for cool monster and armor designs, and also exquisite video game music, then absolutely go for it!
Seeing you lock in so hard on the final Tyr fight was a thing of beauty. As soon as you started nailing all of those parries I knew you'd found your groove, and after all those failed runs and close calls to have that final win be so clean was just the icing on the cake. Well done!

Wow! We've reached the end of an AMAZING journey! I know you still plan on going back to play a couple of the older spinoff games, but still. I'm glad to have experienced this journey with you again bro to one of my favorite game franchises EVER. They don't make many quite like this, and I'm glad you thoroughly enjoyed it. But the end of one Journey only means its the beginning of another! Can't wait for you to start Ghost of Tsushima and many more next! I personally don't like to rank the games much. They all connect so well and the older games are very different from the newer ones. So it makes it hard to rank them. If I HAD to rank them though, I'd have to separate the new games from the old ones. So God of War 2 and 3 would be tied at 1st and 2nd place, then God of War 1. And with the new games, I'd have to say God of War Ragnarok at number 1 then God of War 2018 at a close 2nd place. I can understand people liking 2018 more because of story related reasons and the WOW factor, but Ragnarok just wrapped everything up so well. And it pretty much improved on everything else that we wanted it to improve on after the 2018 game. Also, Valhalla is still part of Ragnarok so you can't separate them!🤣 No matter how you rank them though, I still enjoyed EVERY one of them! 20:47 He turned it up a notch on you at the end! 2:07:18 That's a really underrated ability of the spear that I don't see people use often, and I feel like its either because a lot of people don't know how to use it correctly or they just don't know what it can do. You can stun enemies well, and you can suck them in like a vortex and through them. Its a really good skill to use especially when you can throw enemies off the edge of the map. 2:21:27 It's almost symbolic in a way that the final God of War Boss you beat, you have to use Faye's shield that she gave you back in the 2018 game. Its such a well balanced shield. Blocks nice, parries nice, block breaks nice, attacks nice with both short and long range attacks after parrying. I'm glad you chose that shield in the end.
Next year will be God of War 20 anniversary, really hope we will get a Remake of the first game with the gameplay of Ragnarok, it would be truly special!🔥

21:11 that was an unfortunate death. the downside with playing only one shield in the main game is you completely forgot the shield you had for that run is lterally built for super charging forward you would have run to him to shield bash that is its purpose to close that big distances when you are far from the blue ring attacks that no other shield can do lol i feel the pain not just because how close tyrs health was to being done when you died but that it was preventable in that last moment if you remembered what each shield type does.
This journey we went through really threw me back to the first time I experienced these games. From the spectacle and grandeur of the greek games to the emotional rollercoaster that are the Norse games, it was truly an amazing journey that I am honoured to be a part of. Here is to more god of war and other fun projects. Go forth in the name of Olympus.

What did you see in there, brother? A path... one I had never imagined I like the detail that the name of the song that plays when Kratos achieves his goal and sits on the throne is called "the path."
What a treat to see you complete two long journeys (GOW and FromSoft) within weeks of each other. Been an incredible ride, so many hours and hours of entertainment. Will never forget finding your channel because you had just uploaded the Caria Manor video and I was having a tough time with the crawly hands in that area and needed to see someone else struggle through it lol. Very bittersweet to watch this finale but can't wait to see what's next!
This DLC is basically about three things: Suffering your way through endless hoards of enemies, crying over nostalgic Greek stuff and listening to Týr's mental therapy I absolutely loved it 😭

Wow! We've reached the end of an AMAZING journey! I know you still plan on going back to play a couple of the older spinoff games, but still. I'm glad to have experienced this journey with you again bro to one of my favorite game franchises EVER. They don't make many quite like this, and I'm glad you thoroughly enjoyed it. But the end of one Journey only means its the beginning of another! Can't wait for you to start Ghost of Tsushima and many more next!
I personally don't like to rank the games much. They all connect so well and the older games are very different from the newer ones. So it makes it hard to rank them. If I HAD to rank them though, I'd have to separate the new games from the old ones. So God of War 2 and 3 would be tied at 1st and 2nd place, then God of War 1. And with the new games, I'd have to say God of War Ragnarok at number 1 then God of War 2018 at a close 2nd place. I can understand people liking 2018 more because of story related reasons and the WOW factor, but Ragnarok just wrapped everything up so well. And it pretty much improved on everything else that we wanted it to improve on after the 2018 game. Also, Valhalla is still part of Ragnarok so you can't separate them!🤣 No matter how you rank them though, I still enjoyed EVERY one of them!

2:07:18 That's a really underrated ability of the spear that I don't see people use often, and I feel like its either because a lot of people don't know how to use it correctly or they just don't know what it can do. You can stun enemies well, and you can suck them in like a vortex and through them. Its a really good skill to use especially when you can throw enemies off the edge of the map.
2:21:27 It's almost symbolic in a way that the final God of War Boss you beat, you have to use Faye's shield that she gave you back in the 2018 game. Its such a well balanced shield. Blocks nice, parries nice, block breaks nice, attacks nice with both short and long range attacks after parrying. I'm glad you chose that shield in the end.
Next year will be God of War 20 anniversary, really hope we will get a Remake of the first game with the gameplay of Ragnarok, it would be truly special!🔥

The valhalla dlc was my absolute fav part of the franchise, hearing those words kratos says to his old self has literally changed me as a person, and I'm happy to say that I've been here since the beginning and to now witness you experience it too. 21:11 that was an unfortunate death. the downside with playing only one shield in the main game is you completely forgot the shield you had for that run is lterally built for super charging forward you would have run to him to shield bash that is its purpose to close that big distances when you are far from the blue ring attacks that no other shield can do lol i feel the pain not just because how close tyrs health was to being done when you died but that it was preventable in that last moment if you remembered what each shield type does.

This journey we went through really threw me back to the first time I experienced these games.
From the spectacle and grandeur of the greek games to the emotional rollercoaster that are the Norse games, it was truly an amazing journey that I am honoured to be a part of. Here is to more god of war and other fun projects.

I like the detail that the name of the song that plays when Kratos achieves his goal and sits on the throne is called "the path."
What a treat to see you complete two long journeys (GOW and FromSoft) within weeks of each other. Been an incredible ride, so many hours and hours of entertainment. Will never forget finding your channel because you had just uploaded the Caria Manor video and I was having a tough time with the crawly hands in that area and needed to see someone else struggle through it lol. Very bittersweet to watch this finale but can't wait to see what's next!
This DLC is basically about three things:
Suffering your way through endless hoards of enemies, crying over nostalgic Greek stuff and listening to Týr's mental therapy
