Welcome to the Stihl MS170 quality! I bought mine brand new and it wouldn't run from the beginning. I took it back to the dealer, they changed the plug and said the plug wasn't covered under warranty. Charged me $26 to work on my brand new saw. Got it home and it was doing the exact same thing. It wouldn't rev, bogged and it took a good 20+ pulls to get it started. I replaced the carburetor with one from the Jungle site and it's been doing fine ever since. Mine had some pieces of silicone sealer floating around inside it. Yours probably does too.

Nice my chainsaws are 35 to 60 years old but they run like new
