One of the songs from the album "Greatest Hits," released by Motley Crue in 1998. This is one of the two songs recorded specifically for the album along with "Enslaved" and the remix of "Glitter."
Song written by Tommy Lee, Mick Mars, Vince Neil, and Nikki Sixx.

Me too. They removed it? It's on the Red, White, & Crue compilation, along with Enslaved. This is why physical media needs to stick around.

When they kicked off the 1998 greatest hits tour, they played this at the first few shows and then dropped it from the set list

But I agree, bitter pill is a good song. It gets no love. I think there's a label issue or something. They never play it now and it's not available in many apps and forums

Came out I believe 1998 and was a single on a greatest hits album so it didn't get the exposure otherwise the song would probably be bigger it's a great song

Had this greatest hits cassette tape in 2001, when I was 14. This was one of my favorite songs from that cassette tape. And I’m surprised the snobs at iTunes and Spotify left it out.

LOL, I remember in AIT, coming back in from some training in total pain like the other guys', and there were some dudes playing this song in the day room - I think we all needed some pain killers there! They told us AIT would be better then basic - Not our AIT! - Regardless, since then, this song has continued to run through my head - Love it!!!
I was a huge Crue fan as a kid. When I bought the greatest hits cd, I played it for the first time in my then girlfriends bedroom. Cranked this song up, she thought I was crazy but by the end of it I was going down on her. Those were great times.

A fucking year.... An entire fucking year I've had the intro to this song stuck in my head and couldn't remember what it was. I was pretty sure it was a crue song because I love em but this song doesn't look like it's on UA-cam music. I was searching everywhere though, similar bands and all that and have been going crazy. This is such a load off my mind at this point that I'm going to listen to this song until I can't possibly forget it again.

randy castillo covered for tommy in the studio, but didnt tour as he got cancer and was too ill, so sam maloney (i think thats her last name, might be wrong) did the touring in his place...unfortunately randy eventually died...he also played and toured with ozzy on the ozmosis tour? the one with 'perry mason' on it anyways. loved crue when i was 14, now 40 still love em! ...see ya!

If they had retired after the Carnival of Sins tour and the ‘Red, White, & Crüe’ compilation, they would’ve kept their integrity. It was their best tour, and one of the best compilation albums ever made.
But not only did they continue, they butchered this ‘Greatest Hits’ album, ‘R,W,&C’ is out of print, and nothing was ever the same again. Their actual final album proved they just didn’t have the spirit of Mötley Crüe anymore, making “Bitter Pill” their final truly great song.
Saw them in 98 in Dallas, when this came out. Met Nikki and the worst mistake of my life at that show. Good memories though.

I swear motley crue past their first 2 albums are inconsistent, but when they hit the mark- They Hit it! sometimes maybe accidently/ good mixing or what not. That band chemistry tho, cannot replicate
