Thats not how it works lmao, just because someone takes a "deal" doesnt mean they are telling on anyone, the prosecutor presents the deal for so many years signed off on, you either take the deal or risk going to trial and getting the maximum sentence which you will most likely get because its a federal sentence. 9/10 you're going to take the deal because if you dont there is next to no chance winning at trial and they will just bend you over. The feds arent picking you up unless they have a solid case which means they are confident they will eat your ass at trial with evidence etc.

If I had to take a guess. I’d say he plead guilty to lesser charges or maybe just the weapons charges, and his lawyer tried to use the fact that he had ample cash to buy the shoes and weed along with the illegal activity the victim was arrested for as an argument to question the validity of the robbery charge, so he could end up with closer to 5 years or a suspended sentence if the judge is in a good mood lol.
Agree take a plea for possession of a firearm while being a convicted felon . So my guess is 60 months
