I came back to this short to announce something. There's this game called lethal company, it's about looting an abandoned facility filled with monsters. The game doesn't have this type of monster but you're still forced to vc. Now back to it, there's a mod to add a skinwalker monster which does mimic the voice and also become the person

But yeah, games like phasmiphobia, OG finding bigfoot and the silence can stomp on roblox horror games. I mean rainbow friends got more attention then apeirophobia. Combine it with VR and ai mimicking human movements and physical intonations and it's gold. Although at that point you're probably just playing against pseudo sentient ai for it to be smart enough to mimic that well.
This is pure genius. Combine it with the dead space multi-player feature where you hallucinate, but the visions can hurt you and everyone will be screaming.

The most terrifying thing about this is that there will be progressively more trick audios as time goes on because they’ll keep getting more and more accurate until everyone either dies or tricks eachother
As a developer this honestly sounds like an impossible challenge. Trying to make a convincing fake would be sooo hard. Especially when the players could just decide passwords before hand. You also need the AI to be smart enough to answer almost any question convincingly and sound accurate. No such AI exists. Even those super convincing ones have soooo much audio input to work with compared to what you say in a typical game
When someone makes a break through on AIs i guess, i just think that his idea was cool and could be used. This can be done with less details though, like just have recordings of them saying “yes”, “no”, “come here”, etc. Voice recognition is already a thing so this method might work, albeit not as cool as the original idea

I would love a game where no where in the game does it mention this, or even in the description, but one person is actually the evil guy in the horror game and they have the trap their friends/kill them. And it’ll have some super interesting side thing so people actually think that’s what it’s actually about and actually play the game.
Make the game require communication by having teams do tasks in separate rooms and one needing info from the room the friend is in to get the friend further, and the friend needing info from the other to get them further
It would probably be difficult with the Discord integration and needed controls to mute you on and off at perfectly timed intervals without you knowing to frame yourself: But this wouldn't be a problem if it used its OWN PERSONAL like communication system. As long as it was made high quality and could properly function on release - the game would be able to have it record your voice relatively easy in a proxy voice server, and even flash upon icons of Names or the like to your friends/companions as you play as the Mimic. It would also be a lot easier to silence you quickly, still record your voice as you speak, and play back the false admission. And with it being a key part of the game, you wouldn't be able to mute yourself or even be able to play WITHOUT some form of Microphone attatched to the game. Which might make it a turn off but still sounds amazing. And all the voice data just gets expunged after each game session at the game over screen. Scripts! The glorious world of Scripts and a properly trained A.I.

Someone has to make this a game, and before they start they will be some terms and conditions which allow the game’s software to control mics and use their voice for AI and stuff like that. So it won’t be anything unethical either.

This sounds extremely difficult to make but at the same time the greatest game of all time
It would probably be difficult with the Discord integration and needed controls to mute you on and off at perfectly timed intervals without you knowing to frame yourself: But this wouldn't be a problem if it used its OWN PERSONAL like communication system. As long as it was made high quality and could properly function on release - the game would be able to have it record your voice relatively easy in a proxy voice server, and even flash upon icons of Names or the like to your friends/companions as you play as the Mimic. It would also be a lot easier to silence you quickly, still record your voice as you speak, and play back the false admission. And with it being a key part of the game, you wouldn't be able to mute yourself or even be able to play WITHOUT some form of Microphone attatched to the game. Which might make it a turn off but still sounds amazing. And all the voice data just gets expunged after each game session at the game over screen.

Someone has to make this a game, and before they start they will be some terms and conditions which allow the game’s software to control mics and use their voice for AI and stuff like that. So it won’t be anything unethical either.
