    Die ersten Takte sind schon super schön. Ich liebe dieses Stück . Am liebsten ist mir der Satz : wie lieblich sind deine Wohnungen 😊

    The tenor did not follow the score, too bad! Brahms is not lighweight choir music. Brahms is actually quite heavy and these tenor could barely be heard, were they hungry? Those F#’s and G’s say “forte” in the score not pianissimo how they sang it.

      I find this to be a lovely, well-executed and thoughtful performance. Beautiful sounds! But I have to agree that it lacks punch where needed. The choir is too small for the orchestra, for one. It is also "top-heavy" with sopranos and altos. And you're right. Brahms did not write "dainty" music. Take the kid gloves off! I would love to hear the performance in its entirety and have more reference to be able to make distinct opinions about it. What is here is aurally beautiful, though. Gorgeous!

      @@toddburton6570 Sorry, but sopranos are a tad underpitch on Mvmt 7, which explains the lack of vitality. I love this piece, but I have a curse and that is pitch accuracy.
