I saw my Riviera, my Saratoga, and the Stratford is nearly identical to my '59 with the round cutouts on the sides, my cats totalled the set. I have the Belvedere in twin cabinets too. This is the most impressive Magnavox video to date, thanks for posting it! The music was perfect for the style and class of The Magnificent Magnavox too!
Magnavox was always noted for good quality audio starting way back in the early 1920s with their electro-dynamic horn speakers made in Oakland California. I have one but have not yet powered it.
@64098 I have two Imperials as pictured at the beginning, my mom's and another I found years later. I have another 1962 console posted playing Dansero. I have a couple of older Magnavoxes including the Windsor, whcih I found last summer. I had the small Aristocrat many years ago. I can relate very well to the cats, as I have rescue cats inside and out, they haven't damaged any stereos , but I can't say the same for the couch.
Funny, judging from your picture I thought it was me standing there. I have a picture of myself playing mom's 1970 Magnavox Consolette with Pecan finish. I used a 1962 Motorola 3-channel in my bedroom, but I loved the Micro-matic and foam suspended speakers of her stereo. That would have been around the mid 80s.
@HD7100 Hi Gary In mentioning your Magnavox horn, made me think how Magnavox introduced the 1st Dynamic loudspleaker. I added the info to the more information box. Magnavox made speakers for Wurlitzer organs, jukeboxes, and other companies.
What a find that was those seldom come up for sale. I've seen on rare occasion the remote controls on ebay. I don't have a concert grand console ,just one concert grand amp, but I do have 3 1959 Imperials, two Danish modern and one colonial both are on youtube, the colonial model is also in need of re-capping.
I've always hoped to run across a concert grand but haven;t seen any around for many years. I have 3 Imperials, two Danish modern ones, one of which my mom bought new in 1959, the other I found in the late 80's. I just recently found or should say rescued a colonial imperial about a month ago. I've still got more work to do on it. I personally think the concert grand you have was the finest Magnavox ever made. Don't know the song title. It is filed as just 60's background music.
I have a 59 Imperial cabinet with a converted 185 to a 175 amp with the 55 tuner. Even a 20 watt tube unit is loud. The previous owner sold the original amp, tuner, and speakers. Purchased newer 15" and horns off ebay. My ultimate stereo goal is to own a real nice Concert Grand. I have 5 consoles, 3 are Maggies.
Catálogo fantástico. Os aparelhos tinham presença, os de hoje são uma porcaria, mal você adquire e eles estraga são descartáveis! Rio de Janeiro RJ Brasil

+Larry Shaver It's not Nelson Riddle, I just found it some time back listed as 1960's background music.
+maynate that likrdcat nelson did some stuff in the early 70's that sounded a lot like that
+Larry Shaver Yes he did, and I do like Nelson Riddle. I have only a couple of Nelson Riddle videos uploaded. ua-cam.com/video/PaIipkrNU9A/v-deo.html
so glad to find more people who like nelson riddle. he was definitely gifted
imperial was the king of stereos !!!by the mid 70s most console units were just particle board plastic junk
