      _Not a pit bull._
      _Aggressive dogs that bite?_
      *ARE BECAUSE OF THEIR OWNER!*
After THREE SURGERIES at 33 years of age, my "model's smile" was loooong gone.
      Who helped me fully recover?
The severely abused *PIT BULL I ADOPTED* a year after my surgery.
Cooper was my first dog. *He was NEVER VIOLENT,* unless someone _came at me,_ but I also knew he was still an animal, individual and unpredictable *if his PTSD was triggered.*
Notes on Cooper, PTSD, and how we were perfect:
Yes, all living things _with a brain can have PTSD._ Even honeybees, ants, and snakes, for example.
I do. _From my first career,_ when my single Father passed away at 52 when I was 26, leaving me an orphan and a *trifecta of abuse* from my first long-term relationship ending with the State removing me through "the network" to get me safe.
*A POLICE OFFICER abused Cooper!* The cop *brutally beat his wife, and Cooper TRIED to protect HER.* The cop beat Cooper with a garden hose (Figured that out FAST), fired his gun "at him," and, at one point, kicked him so hard it left Cooper with a permanent deformity on his left side. All in a way, to further torture his wife. I am familiar with men abusing animals to torture you.
On a trip the wife made to the Hospital (unknown to hubby), she was so injured that Cooper was removed from the household that day.
      He was three.
_I got him about six months later after he had been adopted and returned twice._ Of course, the shelter *never* disclosed his history, but I did "my research." 😉
He was in the euthanasia cage when I arrived, with 48 hours left.
I asked to meet him, hiding my terror, and they brought him into a room. He slowly came over. Butt first, *not to scare me,* and my TEN DOLLAR doggo never ever, *ever left my side again* for the rest of his life.
He only barked when it was necessary. Which meant things were baaaad.
And if he saw a cop car or any resemblance to a uniform - holy doggy flashback. Any gun sounds, even on TV. Nuh-uh. If my current boyfriend EVER raised his voice, Cooper would wet himself.
      I miss my dog.
*I will adopt another* shelter *pit bull* when I am ready.
*I WILL always HAVE ONLY PIT BULLS FROM NOW ON!!!*

They know the law but just believe they are above the law.. The sad part is the whole Department seems to back the Officers actions. SO how much worse does it have to get before the Department would turn on him? Maybe rape the Sheriff's wife or something, who knows?
I was a cop as well but never a local cop. So I am not qualified to say how he was trained. However it seems unlikely any formal training would tell him to invade a home without a warrant and then refuse to leave. Clearly that action is approved of by the Sheriff's Office. It can be approved of not only by saying it is ok but also failing to take actions to correct the behavior. Approval is implied if not directly stated. In the future legal actions against the Department this video can be used to show evidence of that implied approval and consent of this type of action. This may not be the end of the problems for the Sheriff's department.
If this action is condoned by the Sheriff's Department then the door is wide open for abuse in that County.
I bet the Sheriff hates the day his Officers were required to wear a body cam and people could video him. I am sure he longs for the good ole days when these type of actions were never filmed. You wonder just how many people have criminal records for such actions or how many people turned to criminal behavior after such an encounter. After all they now have a criminal record.
It is kinda like a young kid working for a farmer putting up hay one hot summer day and then the farmer refuses to pay him. He tells the kid he does not have the money to pay him now AFTER the kid did the work. The kid then one night burns the barn down storing the hay. The kid goes to jail. I know it is not the same but often one bad act leads to more and far worse acts. It snowballs.
In this case with the young lady the police will have bad interactions with this family for generations due to this one officer they support. Shameful.

The moment he first asked to see the dogs and she said no, he decided he was going to escalate things. She handled herself as perfect as she possibly could up until he unlawfully entered her home. Then he twists the story to make her look like she initiated all of the escalation that occurred. I feel so bad for her having to go through that.

Imagine trying to be intimidating and then using the defense that you got your ass kicked by a woman 😂. The absolute nerve of his superior to tell him to go sit and cool off while the innocent woman he assaulted is on the ground in cuffs.

When the supervisor arrives there should be a mandatory period where he reviews the body cam footage to see for himself what did and did not happen, versus letting the lying officer escalate the situation.

It never fails to amaze me, but they always, always lie when they relate the story to someone else. Every single time I've not seen one cop tell the truth yet. And amazes me they're so blatant about it when they know it's all been recorded

Only sometimes? Anytime someone unlawfully enters your property and won't leave, any necessary force against them is ALWAYS justified.

Abusing the public at this level is criminal. This man is unemployable, and anyone who allowed this to happen should be a co-defendant.
