Hey Christine firstly the next song is "Waving Through A Window" also the first time I listened to DEH I was so confused but basically The two mother's Hedi (the first one you see) than Cyntheia. Hedi's son Evan has been struggling with anxiety, social anxiety and Hedi is trying to help her son. Meanwhile Cyntheia is dealing with her son Connor who has been struggling as well but with depression and he doesn't have a good relationship with his family and to him basically the whole world, he is known as the freak to the highschool he goes to. (He threw his printer at a teacher in second grade) The next song is Waving Through A Window as I mentioned and it introduces Evan even more. After is for forever which you will not get unless you get the story line (the songs don't explain what happens in the musical if you get to see it also if you don't wanna know this is a spoiler but it is really confusing so um scroll if you dare? I really don't mean to be a spoiler but I'm just trying to make this less confusing for you) Basically Evan and Connor go to school Evan's "family friend" Jared (who is so mean to poor Evan😥) fights with Connor and after it's quiet Evan coughs which Connor assumes as a laugh so he turns to Evan and yells at him which Evan is really trying to explain himself but Connor is hardheaded and pushes Evan to the ground which I think (?) Is the start to the next song. Anyway Evan goes to print out his therapist letter that he writes to him self in the library. (Evan also has a crush on Connors sister Zoe and he writes about how awesome and how he can at least has Zoe which he doesn't even talk to) Connor is int the library and goes to um "apologize" in his own way he goes and grabs a sharpie from Evan and writes his name big and boldly on Evan's cast (that's why you'll see it in some animatics) Connor sees a paper (Evan's letter) printing out and grabs it (without his consent mind you) reads it quickly and sees it has his sister and how nice he talks to her. Connor gets riled up and assumes Evan knew they were the only two in the library and thinks he did it on purpose to piss him off, Evan quickly tries to explain that it's for his therapist but Connor runs off..... (Now this is a spoiler please don't read it though I know I already explained my self).....sadly Connor puts the letter in his pocket goes home and......kills himself (they don't explain this in the songs before he does it that's why I was confused) Connors parents rush and see him here they find a letter in his pocket (remember Evan wrights Dear Evan Hansen he wrights to himself so they think Connor actually had a friend) they both go to his school (contacting Zoe before hand I would assume) and tell the principal to call down Evan Hansen they call him down and they give him the letter saying something like 'did you know Connor?' which Evan doesn't have the courage to say no so Jared and him create this whole story with writing fake letters of him and Connor being friends and that's all you need to know so far.
