He wasn't really bitter... He was actually quite nice offstage ... This Angry George character of his was a persona he created to get his point across.
Carlin’s daughter said his last four shows made her laugh, but bummed her out. She also thought he was getting too consumed with his disappointment/bitterness with the world, except for the very last one. It’s All Bad for Ya.’ In that last show (filmed a month before his death), she felt like her father nailed it. Like it was less mean, and more truthful about life as it is. Like parting words from a loving old man that just wants you to be happy but also vigilant. It is a masterpiece when you watch all four in a row. Enjoy.
George and his ideas. He viewed the world from a different view point. I loved his comedy. In my book George was the G.O.A.T. of stand-up.... You all take care and have fun!!!!!
“Yea! A b*mb! In a dick!” 😂😂😂 why does that always get me. Like he’s actually trying to convince you it’s a good idea 😂 The best part about George’s comedy is that even when his ideas like this are extreme and are meant really more to laugh at the ridiculousness of his idea, he still brings a very valid point. Of course we shouldn’t bring back all these forms of torture and stuff. But what he says is very true- if you go after the right criminals you can actually make progress towards solving the problem. You’re fighting a beast, you’ll get nowhere unless you strike for the head. And he makes a very insightful critique of human nature. As long as people can justify something as a society, they’ll gladly participate, even if it contradicts every moral the have. Listening to this, most people laugh, very few get upset. Mostly because this is hyperbolic and we all know that. But we laugh because on some level, we know he’s right. If we put this type of stuff on tv people would actually watch and enjoy it. People find satisfaction in things like revenge. It’s why action movies are so popular, they are often driven by a characters need for vengeance. As long as we can convince ourselves that the person was a felon, we will gladly pay to watch them suffer. George had a very clear understanding of human nature.

Hi, Brad & Lucy. Another GREAT Reaction Video ... always like to See, You Both, Happy, Smiling & Laughing 🤣 .. WE ALL Need to Laugh .. Keep these Videos coming! Cheers!! Stay Happy, Healthy & Safe! 😁
Great video. He’s not bitter though he’s taking the piss out of the absurdity and futility of capital punishment and at the same time American consumer and religious culture.
The stuff he came up with....lol. Guaranteed there are some churches that would include the show with the service. He never just made you laugh....he made you think too! lol. The world just kept getting worse....& he didnt feel like we were going to get better any time soon. He was ...sadly...right.
It's kind of funny (or rather frightening) how many people that don't get that this is satire. Carlin is making fun of American's blood lust and hypocrisy when it comes to capital punishment, but many people takes this seriously.
Linus and Lucy switched sides. This was the rare session of his that felt like he was more kidding than serious, compared to most of the times where you know he is 100 percent serious.
Lucy, dear, probably not safe to drjnk beer while listening to George. Abouf the time you get a mouthful, he's bound to say something that will make yoh explode.
George is still one of my favorite comedians of all time. But, like you noted, he got more bitter and cynical as he got older. Too many people worship him and think he's right about everything. He, basically, gave up on humanity and was rooting for our end. His opinions, later in life, were not helpful.
Keep in mind he did alot of exaggerations for comical effect. He was mostly right in the core of his materials, but comedy doesn't work if you don't push things.
@@johan.ohgren When he said he refuses to vote, he wasn't exaggerating. When he said that he hoped that an asteroid would wipe humanity out, he wasn't joking. I understand comedy quite well, but what I'm talking about isn't exaggeration for effect. This bit was, definitely, just him pushing the limits on an idea for comedic effect, but you when you look at some of his bits with the realization that he actually thought that humanity wasn't worth saving it loses some of the "humor" and becomes him just ranting.
I wouldnt say worship, many people, me included, noticed that faith in humanity was overrated, and that George just amplified the feelings of so many people who are just sick of the hypocrisy of the human condition.
"were not helpful". Not helpful to YOU you mean. He's not someone to be worshiped (nobody is) but how you feel about the world will be drastically different from the next person.
@@CDF9992 Non-participation in society is unhelpful to everyone. Please find an instance where not voting lead to a beneficial result. Giving up doesn't accomplish anything and usually makes things worse.
The whole idea of getting saved. Is getting saved from hell. From demons who have nothing better to than torture lost souls for all of ETERNITY. To save yourself believe in KJB1611: Roman 5:9 and 1 Corinthians:15:1 - 15:4.

Check out Sports or Fussy Eater from George
Much like myself, George's bulshit filter was activated at birth. It really kicks in once you hit 50.
This Man is crazy,1000%🤣
It is comedy at it's finest.

He was bitter, or more accurately he had a bitter side and it would become dominant in his life at points.
