This is fantastic. I would never have understood the story as in-depth without your commentary. 10/10. The supporting scripture references gave a lot of weight to your insights as well. Thanks for exposing the filthy hog in me, and redirecting folks to the only one who is truly clean.
I am so glad you enjoyed it. Stay tuned; I am right now writing the script for a video on "A Good Man is Hard to Find." I hope to get that up to you soon. Thanks for the comment!
One of my favorite short stories, by Miss O'Connor. I just read a memory, a woman sent to me, on X. Not sure why it reminded me of this short story, because it's been so many years since I thought of or read this. I remembered she was a Catholic writer, and oh, what a writer!. Not sure why a book can't have certain words, on YT, seems silly, but the last paragraph makes so much sense, I could die happy as a pig, right now.
I sure am. They take the a long time to make, so I'm look for a long stretch of time. The next one will be A Good Man, and the one after that will be Greenleaf. Your question has bumped it up on the priority list because it's always nice to know that someone is interested.
@@AlaskaNick40 Well, I love that of course. I realize that the channel isn't targeting a specific niche, or it's too specific--"stuff I'm interested in." I'm glad you found it!

I thought long and hard about what to do with the language. I went this direction. I wanted O'Connor to be available to a broad audience.
Loved your commentary!
Thank you. I've done one for "A Good Man is Hard to Find" and "Greenleaf" (my personal favourite) will be up in August. Thanks for watching.
are you still planning to do more of these Flannery episodes? This one was great.

@@drybones5512 I'm new to your channel but I love it. Flannery is what brought me to here but i'm burning through the backlog.

The next O'Connor video is in production. It should be up in April!
Another thing worth mentioning are the demons Legion and the herd of pigs that Jesus banished them into.
Also “nor cast your pearls before swine.”
Thanks for the comment. Are you seeing connections between these pigs and the way pigs are used in O'Connor's story?
