Thank you so much for asking her these specific questions. I was bullied for years during school and she truly hit the nail in the head when she talked about the feeling you get walking into the common area of a school. I’m 30 now and can wholeheartedly say I really appreciated, and am taking to heart, her insight and advice. Thank you!
Thank you Sam for providing an open space and making guests so comfortable to share parts of their story and soul with you. Jenny is so particular with her descriptions with ease, it seems well thought out and true but also like she is so sure of herself she just dug it up without hesitation. I really admire her way of explaining her inner feelings and life stance. It is so beautiful and would love to get to that natural poetic level. Will definitely be checking out her new book little weirds!
Was bullied relentlessly in high school - changed who I am. The upside, I work as a counsellor and do really well career wise and financially partly because I know what my clients are talking about when they say they don’t belong.
Most famous people are is why...I’d like to think the more average broken person gets positive limelight instead of the beautiful rich and intelligent. Prosperity is built on the backs of our brothers and sisters. Not the ones looking down from their lonely tower....but maybe I’m just high
She explains being in that situation very well. I can tell she is honest. Other celebrities seem to take someone else's experiences and make them their own.
this is beautiful and uplifting. As a content creator I realize there is no clear measure of audience impact and we can never really see the impact we have on a person through our content. We can only try to put out our most honest and authentic and well-meaning self and respect the response. So to Sam & Jenny -- thank you for talking about this. For me on a personal level, this enlightens and I can make connections and feel things I haven't felt before. You can never really see of witness all this but I want you to know that its happening. Thank you to @theoffcamerashow +theoffcamerashow - you are incredible. Keep going
Just finding this video now for some reason. I love Sam, and love Jenny Slate...This clip was incredibly helpful for me. Hearing other people speak on their experiences, and hearing how they contextualize their emotions/reactions to themselves kind of gives a road map to get some insight into my own struggles.
@@davebartholome2924 I would go with Chappelle for venues that canceled him, Louis CK for the world that cancelled him, al franken who I don't even like but his Dem party cancelled him only because they were sure roy Moore would get elected and they thought they should clean house in order to slam republicans even harsher, Johnny Depp being cancelled by Hollywood for nothing...the list does go on but these are a few I honestly believe did nothing wrong to be cancelled in the way they were. Also, truly did not see this till today. Sorry for the year delay...
Dude is the kindest and most real interviewer in this day and age ❤️💪🏻⚡️✌🏻
Sean Evans too
TOTALLY agree.
the most dangerous outcome of trauma is self-blame, and in turn extreme self-hatred
Guess I'm super fucked in that regard
Damn, that’s my exact experience.
I would say the most common outcome.

I absolutely love her, and thinks shes an incredible comedic mind. So intelligent and eloquent.
She is so remarkably funny and intelligent. I’m surprised this doesn’t have more views.

Jenny Slate seems really wonderful, and I've always found her interviews on this show really inspiring. So glad you brought her back!

Wonderful, eloquent person. I love her.
Love, love, love her.
I love this! No, I NEEDED this!
Jenny has clearly got some depth to her and is just lovely. Love this! 💕💕

Oof. In the past I've totally felt the way she's describing. Glad to know I'm not alone and I'm happy to hear she's left that behind!
That does not stop in school especially for women ( on social medias especially ) people were so mean when she was dating Chris Evans.
I’m watching this video after processing what I went through as a 2nd grader. Much love 💕
She is stunning

Once you free yourself of seeking status, you really are free.
Great interviewer.
Not to put her in a box but I love this lady in comedic roles.
She's so beautiful
My Blind Brother. Love her.
I love her💜🔥
Ms. Nanny!!
This is too similar to the childhood adolescence I experienced.
Impostor syndrome is horrible.
Love her ❤️❤️ She’s such a gem. I was a “weirdo” as well. I’m happy I was. I was always me.
She abandons unhealthy Negative self image, and I adopted it. Funny funny comedian.
Isn’t she Chris Evans ex? I know she’s more than just that but is she?
She is
the popular click was more toxic then what you went through.. u should feel lucky
That's okay Jenny I have a negative fuckin' image of you for both of us
Why did I hang on!?
She is amazing in A- Typical..........and really, really, funny.
She's not in Atypical
@@audrey.hannah You are correct......I'm thinking of Jenna Boyd from A Typical......There's a similarity in their faces.
So this is my third interview watching this girl. I have to say she is equally deep and hilarious.
And she has done nothing to speak out against the cancel culture bullying that is in her industry...so everything has continued, sad.
Not sure how you would know that she has “done nothing,” but please give us an example of someone who was undeservedly “cancelled.”
They can’t all be fearless like Norm.

Why is this show done in black and white
I think it helps reflect the show's stripped down "back to basics" approach. Personally, I really dig it.
He explains it in his first interview (where he is interviewed by someone) I think it's so much more elegant and sets it apart from other shows.
So people will show their true colors
☠️
"just because"
It's different from random shit they do on press tours
Is she jewish?
Yes, she is.
Similar stories different actor's . Nothing interesting here.
