i have actually used the flip attacks before when ghosts are being annoying and hiding in the floor!!! literally never otherwise but y’know at least that’s a couple times per playthrough >.>
I wonder if using the oolacile staff would've helped. If you aren't spec'd for a mage, the flat magic adjust at 180 is higher than anything you can realistically get at that part of the game, and that's at minimum requirements. To match that, you need to sink in 15 more levels to 27 int before other catalysts become competitive, and you only need 25 for crystal magic weapon. For anyone else willing to do this run, you'll need to face both the hydra and the golden crystal golem for Dusk to unlock. Good luck with that fight. Edit: that joke about the secret key being murder is hilarious, btw
NOOOOO NOT THE DARKMOON KNIGHTNESS :(
Loved the video. The backflip dodging Smough's hammer swing was really cool.
it pained me too as a darkmoon blade myself

Backflips attacks have sense in King's Field. Elden ring is too fast.
well in elden ring they're feint attacks you can do while charging a heavy attack, which makes them actually not awful.
I couldn't make it through the Quelaag fight. Completely silent unedited footage is a slog.
I understand but it was my first real video so I'm making them better as I go!
i wish the flip attack got i frames. it's too cool to be a useless part of the curved sword moveset
Yeah it would have maybe balanced out the shite damage
and it would've made accidental backflips less punishing.
