even at the age of 64 I still keep alive the idea of one day owning a TOYOTA like this .. the reason for the great admiration for this car is the fact that when I was a child I saw that only the priest had these cars because only they could face any road and so they were able to comply with the church's release in the interior. Love this build. Love the patina! great look. Not being negative here cause you all do fantastic thoughtful, artist work. My only issue that i see ( being an overly critical engineer that i am ( yes it was hard for me to get dates) ....in this quick video is the steering conversion up front . In regards to the cross member between the frame rails. In order to get the box back and the shaft thru , it looks cut up beyond my comfort zone. 1) large portion is removed , 2) Don't like the square cut this would be a stress concentration points for crack prop. Maybe you reinforced this on the back or underneath did not see it? I am sure you guys addressed this issue i just did not see how.
Very surprised to see the 2F in the chopped rock crawler. My newly rebuilt 2F is still gutless. Lol. What kind of power are you getting out of that engine and what are you using for fuel delivery? Carb or EFI?
The crawler originally had an EFI 3FE. We switched to a 2F because the owner didn't want the vehicle to rely on any electronic circuitry. For that reason, we went with a points type distributor and a carburetor. I think HP is about 165. With 5:29s, it moves the rig around pretty well.
You guys are CRAFSTMAN! Wicked Cool Rigs!! Thanks for making these videos!
Oh man. That patina one is crazy!

Hey mate, why do you lengthen the wheelbase?
