Same! Great content, and I never did these measures with my previous dog, RIP. Amazing results with my current puppy, helps him greatly to understand what to do and when to do it, and that i'm the one to tell him.
I had a rescue dog named Scooter who lived 16 years. He was the best most well behaved (trained) dog we ever had. We now have a 4 month old stubborn non food motivated dog (Tony) who we love but is a real challenge.
I'm so glad I found you guys! And thanks for sharing your knowledge and wisdom! We just got a new puppy who hasn't responded to what we thought was training, and after a 10 days (and A LOT of tears ) we were getting quite anxious about the behaviours we saw developing. We were "training", but not leading whenever he was out of the crate! It is so wonderful to know and understand this distinction, and in just a few days we are seeing amazing results from our adorable cavoodle, Brink. Thank you, thank you!!! ❤

I have a 2 year old golden retriever whi we still dont totally trust to freeroam the house so he still spends a lot of time in his crate, probably 2 - 3 hours at a time. He never barks howls or does anything to indicate he is unhappy or bored or anything (we crate trained from the 1st day we got him)
He has 2 longish walks a day and runs at the park every other day.
Does this sound ok?
(I do want to build up to having him lie down in the same room with me while i watch tv etc when he is older not quite so puppy-ish
I have a male border collie/blue healer that is almost 4. For the past year when I take it for walks on leash it will lunge a vehicles going by us. We play freesbie nearly every day in a park. It has chased after pick up trucks, buses, semis, firetrucks on a road quite far away. It has also chased after the parks golf carts and grass cutting machines. My wife will yell at the dog till he stops chasing and returns to my car, he's done. Why is MY dog the only one chasing vehicles?
I've tried to crate train my new puppy and she just won't go in. Tried treats, Kong etc she won't go in. I also have a 5yr old aussie border collie who I would love to crate train also but not sure how especially with his anxiety
Border collie with anxiety? I don't envy you! I just rescued a border collie mix that's about 8 months old but she's as curious as she is timid or anxious with new things. Super high energy to have all the energy go into anxiety. Hopefully you're patient!

Gary from Hilo, Hawaii here, with my Terrier mix Kauilaokalani (divine lightning) or Kauila for short. She is a rescue pup I got 5 days ago, and she is 9 weeks old. She is taking to training well with a few missteps along the way.

Have tried to crate train my puppy she will not go in crate. Tried treats, drip treating and kong no luck
I fed nearly all my puppies meals in the crate when I first got him with the gate open and the closed. Maybe that could work?
Our new puppy is a toy fox terrier. She is 5 mo old. Need help training her. We are to the point of selling her, which we don't want to do unless we have to. Indiana..USA
What specifically is the problem?
Got three female Golden Retrievers- they seem to hate each other. Constantly trying to dominate each other. Sometimes it gets to fighting.

sounds like littermate syndrome
@@whoarethis None are littermates, however the effect could be the same🤔 anyway... Two of them (along with a male) we got within 3 weeks of each other. (None related) The third female was a year later. Do you know any more about this effect? Possible solutions?

My son has a 6 month old pit bull Princess and he is having difficulty training her. He put a chain choker on her to help with training I don't believe in using this sort of dog collar. How can I help him?
