why do non mathematicians and non physicists claim Einstein contributed most to modern physics, hence being the "smartest person"? imo (and most practicing physicists and mathematicians) Feynman, Dirac or even Gauss went way beyond Einsteins abilities. i think people are actually drawn to Einstein because they are captured by his celebrity. obviously he was very talented, all i am saying is there are others who also deserve this fame
