Really interesting and what a clever, informative and down to earth guy. To squeeze that amount of extra bhp is simply superb and fair play to your new exhaust system. That will certainly shut the doubters up! Will be keen to hear your real world on-the-road opinion in due course. Thanks for sharing.
I read an article that ran a test on the same Dyno, a GSXS and GSXS/GT both different years but same motor that made 136HP and some tenths at the rear wheel stock, w/ a full system 150+ HP. Love this series and your channel. I want of those bikes.
This is exactly the information I've been waiting to learn! Ive got my eyes on this bike ever since it came out, but was unsure how upgradeble it was.. Thanks a lot! I will be making a test ride coming spring!
Great video, Steve is such a knowledgeable chap and £500 to go on the rolling road doesn’t seam excessive when I’m paying nearly £300 for a addblue delete on a van. I watched 44 teeth video and they got similar power out of £2k 21 year old GSXR1000 showing over 50k miles, i does make you wonder why would you buy a new bike?
Nice! I had to do the same on my GT.. up a little fueling and ign at the top when I realized it was a little too lean at higher rpm's on the highway! Steve really knows what he's doing!
Bought a lextek system for my mt09 tracer, could pick high or low level, choice of end cans and lengths for tone, very happy with it and Bought new because used ones on ebay I kept getting outbid, bang for buck I think the lexteks are superb value.
My K61K made 158whp with a slip on and it feels like a beast on the street. At my age, a bit more upright and some cargo space with the same power sounds like a blast!
So, I’ve booked my bike for next week for the remap, and criteria was the word I landed on because Mr. Steve will tick all the right boxes-precision, knowledge, and definitely a love for fast machines Helio - CB650R - 2024
Great vid, very interesting. Decent gaines there & very keen to see your before & after impressions. So with about £1300 for tyres, a system & a remap, you've absolutely transformed the bike I imagine.
For the full system and the map under a grand is very good. Be interesting to hear your thoughts after the road test. I’ve honestly found the fuelling on my previous Suzuki to be almost perfect. My MT is pretty diabolical and I have to change my gear and throttle input to smooth it out whilst covering the clutch at lower speeds.. 😂 Steve is my local guy so I should probably give him a shout.
My MT-10 was one of the very early ones and was a pig at low speeds, Leo Vince 3/4 exhaust and a Rolling Road tune transformed that bike into a very well mannered thing at low speeds and even more of a hooligan when I opened it up, 154 at the tyre was a lot of fun with that crossplane engine. It's money well spent.
@@Mikaeel84 Tuning is not always about outright power increases. It can be about how the bike delivers the power once you eliminate the homologation restrictions that have been imposed. A healthier mid range and smoother bottom end power delivery are major benefits in every day road riding.
A few years ago I sent my 2014 zx10r ecu away to Richard Brancroft (RB engineering Gloucestershire) he unlocked quick shifter, launch control, knocked off lamber sensor and exhaust valve, sorted the mid range increased rev limiter by 500rpm for sprocket charges knocked off speed limiters and added 2 % fuel on a closed throttle for a smooth transition from off to on, the bike was totally different absolutely night and day so much better all for £200 not sure how much now but definitely worth it
What a quiet, unassuming, professional guy that really comes across as knowing his business!!! If you're keeping the bike stock, is it still worth tuning a bike to turn off all the emission, noise restrictions and those other bits and pieces he mentioned for general riding to get the best out of a stock bike?
Always enjoy your content as a Suzuki fan/owner I am considering a GX next year. I see you've fitted a sport windscreen does it help with lid turbulence (I am 6 feet) and if yes can you confirm the maker. eg ermax ect. Many thanks

Sounds like they did a great job with it, nice folk over at Steve Jordans.... am kinda wishing I'd not spent all the £££ on the SC Project exhaust for my 800, it seems quite a restrictive exhaust and non-removable baffles too!
Nice video, although, I thought you would have given us a little bit of feedback from your ride home, to see how much difference there would have been on the road compared to the dyno...
The Chinese can do pretty much what any other nation can, bar one or two highly specialised industries. It's something to be concerned about if you value Western industry.
I had my CB650R tuned (derestricted) and now it guzzles fuel, even when I am just cruising. Would be nice if they could tune it for power while also keeping some of the fuel efficiency features turned on. I went on a group ride recently and I used more fuel than anyone else with my 649cc engine and there were people there with much bigger and more powerful bikes. They were also riding faster than me and still used less fuel. It's possible that maybe I used more because I was slowing down more for corners and therefore accelerating more when exiting corners but I also did some of the ride just cruising in 5th/6th and going around corners at moderate speeds. I am also 110kg all geared up so consider that too. While the bike runs great with the tune and makes great power, I still would sacrifice some of the smoothness for efficiency when I am at lower throttle positions (cruising, idle, commuting).
There's too many variables, if you want it tuned to stop guzzling fuel then it might be worth talking to people who tune bikes like Steve in the vid to get more info on whats going on. Asking us in the comments section won't really give you that kind of indepth knowledge that Steve has to be fair.
@ Agreed but tuners don’t want to talk just for fun. They want $$. I tried talking to the guy that tuned my bike and he basically told me to put it back to stock if I was worried about fuel efficiency. Kinda useless response. I asked him if plugging the O2 sensor back in would increase economy at low throttle positions and he agreed that it would but said “it’ll run worse because it will be trying to be lean like stock” and I said “sounds like exactly what I want” since the bike only uses the O2 sensor at low throttle positions and RPM but as soon as you start romping on it it’ll ignore the O2 sensor and just run from the map. Sounds like a win-win for me. I have been on two rides with the O2 sensor plugged in and so far it feels fine. I’ll monitor the fuel economy and see if it improves.
chopsy. What size are the handle bar grips. 120 or 130 mm and do you have a code for Ultimate addons heates grips mate. I’ve just bought a GX and want to order some. I don’t get the bike for a week so I can’t measure them myself yet. Cheers The Lone Wolf Rides

Just a thought… Now you’ve had the Suzuki re-mapped would it be worth doing roll-on tests against the BMW 1000XR again to demonstrate how much of a real of improvement you’ve gained…
Hi Chopsy, great video as usual. Just a quickie on your C6 Pro. How did you get the LCR logo on there. I have just bought one and they are saying the logo needs to be put on by them before despatch. Mine has already been despatched so no luck there.
Funny when he spoke about gsxr's... He remapped mine and i only got 0.3bhp extra at the top. Wjen i asked why he said it was a great standard bike....he still took my money though.
It shouldn't be too bad if you go with a specialist, I've found sometimes no premium increase or 10% something like that. You tell them tuned for ridability
Steve is a well respected tuner and knows his stuff but unfortunately he has given you a bit of wrong info. You can see that his Dynapro is set for DJHP (check box top right of screen and bottom left on graph) which means it is measuring estimated crank horsepower. Turn that setting off and you’ll get a rear wheel figure of about 122/123. It’s there so that they give the same figures (as close as possible) to a Dynojet dyno.
@ you can download the operating manual for a Dynapro dyno from their website and that’s where it will state that with the DJHP setting the figures are estimated crank figures. Everyone with a Dynapro dyno (me included) runs it with this setting as you would look stupid if you had a dyno that gave a figure 17% lower than everyone else’s. Just because you observe the rear wheel spinning the drum of a dyno does not automatically mean you are being given a rear wheel bhp figure. ‘At the back wheel’ is the biggest misused phrase used when talking about dyno results.
Yeah I get your point, I guess dyno figures are always based on the dyno setup, a lot of variables, I know air temp / pressure are also factored and adjusted in the power figures. Whats important is the before and after results. I know its more than 120 hp as ridden enough bikes to know what that feels like, plus Steve knows based on the other bikes he's run on there 👍
Junction 33 developments has done lots of back to back testing on the GT and is of the opinion that you lose mid range but gain a horsepower or 2 at the top end.
Nice little gains everywhere Chops👌🏽 I had my H2SXSE remapped, more to get rid of the snatchy throttle in Full power mode, she went from 179 to 222 at the back wheel and I was told that’s a fairly mild remap😳👍🏽…Made so much difference in the way it rides and obviously it’s bloody quick too😉👍🏽
Just bought a 2007 Kawasaki with 18,000 miles on it for $7,500, which came with a $600 receipt for a dyno tune in which they were able to tweak it up to 172 wheel hp. Just shows you don't have to pay too much for more power than you'll really need. Why pay $600 for a dyno tune to get 5 more unnecessary horse power?
When I see this it does make me think how long before manufacturers throw in the towel, developing and marketing bikes that have to meet some ridiculously stringent noise and emission regulations, and still compete and be fun to ride they must be near the limit of what’s possible. Left wing dogma imposing their daft net zero bollox on us all just because they believe in veganism and bicycles, but it always makes me smile when all these restrictions can simply be……junked or adjusted!
