    I like to have my cake and eat it too lol, mountains and beaches! There are some beautiful locations in the south of Turkey with beautiful white sand beaches, trendy European streets and beach clubs and all between rolling mountain backdrops. Definitely worth a trip!

    There aren't any senior centers in Albania for them to hang out with each-other so the government is investing in tables and benches in the parks for them to spend their free time. And it is better for their health to spend time outside in the fresh air, given that the climate is mild, unlike in Canada.

      In Vlora there are. There were two near an apartment we stayed at. Each had a fridge a pool table and tables and chairs. They play domino’s a lot but the groups that play chess yell at each other very loud but they are not fighting they are just joking. They are also near the health centres called Shendetesore where a nurse will treat you for free.

      The video was excellent! I am sorry you had to move but when I saw the new view out your patio , just amazing!! I could hear it in your voices the anguish of leaving your Air B&B early . The big but is you weren’t the problem. So, moving on I love your new location. The mountains, sunset is stunning! Enjoy! The next part of your trip!!💥

    We're traveling to Albania in June of next year. I'm loving all of your info and can't wait to get my hands on one of those Greek salads. In one video you mentioned the rent from a local car. Did you find that easy to use/cost effective?

    • @wattstraveling
      @wattstraveling  2 місяці тому

      Hi there 👋 the Greek salads here are delicious! Rental cars were easy to use and even in the off season easy to find places. We found Rentals from 25-35 a day, coming from SEA that's expensive but in Europe I don't think it's expensive. We wanted to explore more of Albania so we rented a car a few times.

    It is Albania's independence day on November 28th and Liberation day (form Nazi-fascism) on November 29. There will be a parade in Tirana on the 28th on the big boulevard (Deshmoret e Kombit). That's the reasons for all the flags being sold and hung.

    Thanks, I made ot to Durres. I am thinking about going to Vlore to try it out in February. How did you get there? How long did it take. I saw on google maps that a bus ride was 12 hours. That can't be right. Thoughts?

    • @wattstraveling
      @wattstraveling  2 місяці тому +1

      @MotivatedActionGroup we took a bus. From durres bus station, to Tirana to Vloré. Feb is off season so there isn't a run from Durres.... even tho they told us there was! Long story!! Just take the bus from durres station -Tirana - vlore.... it's easy and cost effective

      @MotivatedActionGroup it's about 30minutes to Tirana by bus then switch buses in Tirana (get on a smaller bus) takes about 1.5 hours to Vlorë.... so overall not long

    • @wattstraveling

      @ajcapitano2425 from our experience: Durrës felt more local both city and beach. Vlorë is prettier and felt more touristy. Both were easy to move around but I like the walkability of Vlorë and small e scooter paths. Good question. I'm sure it's a personal preference too
