You know, I wish they had saved this scene for AFTER the timeskip, when most of the strawhats are present. Imagine having Brook see all his dead friends and Laboon, Franky seeing Tom, and Luffy seeing Ace after he died. It would have been a lot more heart wrenching.

Tbh I liked this filler arc a lot because it really made you wonder about robin and who her loved ones are. Just how she even got her 79 million berry bounty at only 8 is already a big question. It does a good job of luring the viewers more into the wonders on robins past so that the arcs right after would be able to answer the questions we had. Good job Toei

Well he thought Sabo died long ago. Unlike Zoro luffy wasn't reminded all the time of Sabo. His love for shanks and Ace were still growing

The last two are debatable but when you factor in that Ussop was transported to that island of all other possible islands you need to step away from the story and wonder why did Oda do that?
Zeff was a great pirate 22 years ago. Roger died 20 (at that point) years ago. That would still leave time for him to be a ranking member of Rogers crew and one more thing. Do you recall what Shanks told Buggy before he ate the devil fruit? "Don't let the Chef find out or you'll get scolded" Zeff had a reputation of scolding and abandoning crew mates who stole food... It's all speculation but the evidence is stacking.

Having sabo there would've been really good foreshadowing. Because people don't even know who he is so they won't know it's luffys third brother and wonder who that is.
the memory of the straw hat crew I can feel the sadness between them is just chopper, zoro, sanji. although kuina died in the strangest way but the grief was very deep and i imagine zoro’s grief in his childhood for losing his best friend at a very young age

+llVIU luffy had the most role models. if we added it up, he really should've gotten dadan's band, shanks, ace, sabo, garp and the people of windmill village. while robin would've only gotten the oharan archeologists and saul. chopper literally got everyone that supported him in his goals. kureha just kept him around as a promise to hiluluk.
