    I love your videos especially your focus on how to avoid injuries. On that theme. I've done ashtanga seriouslyv(4 times a week) for half a year now and I'm getting some problems with my shoulders. Maybe you could do a video focusing on being nice to your shoulders in different pos? I'd appreciate that a lot!!.🙏 And when will you two come and have a ws in Gothenburg, Sweden? 🤗

(PS I'm 63 female in North East UK)

    Jelena's slo-mos are always the coolest to watch 😊... Thanks to both David and Jelena for the breakdowns for so many asanas.
    I'm just a very beginner to yaga practice.. Every time I tried yoga, I could not stick to the practice even for a week before. But only two of you can make me want to come back to the practice. I have been doing your beginner series 30 mins for 12 days now. Cannot thank you both enough for being virtual teachers for people like us ❤.

    I know you probably already have that content out there but its fun to see what you guys have to say and great to see you making new youtube content.

    Super tutorial, as usual! Thank you for the interim way of transitioning into the pose - I'll give that a try. I'm so guilty also of supporting myself on the elbow to maintain the balance. You've given me extra motivation to break that habit.🙂

    You two are way too cute..... love all your courses and tutorials. I find that when Im internally rotating my extended leg that I have to be mindful of not over extending the back of my knee when I try to drag the femur back into the socket.... its a tough asana so much is going on.

    Wonderful Tutorial. Jelena made a good point about using a block that went along with someting she said in a previous video when she described our practice taking "Radical Acceptance."
    Maybe a video on what Svenson called "The Physics of Flight" when seeking the float in jump backs and jump throughs as well as many other asanas. I have yet to find that in my practice.
    Anyway I really like your videos and thank you both.

    The flexibility of my feet is really tight, so that my toe’s point outward. I cant sit on my heels either. As this position is good for my very tight right hip I let the toe’s point outward because I don’t want to get used to prop’s. Good to know I can lean to one side, also. Thank you for doing these videos again much 💕

    Love love love that you break down the vinyasa to show an easier version. The hardest part of these poses for me is getting into them rather than the pose itself. 😅

    I just searched for a tutorial on this asana a couple of hours ago, and now here it is, wow! It is nice to explain how to perform it correctly, but I was hoping to get more tips for when you are not there yet - I cannot open my hip so much, I either tilt toward the extended leg, or I need to sit on a block. I don't use a block, except only as a base to push myself against and counter the side tilt; Also, I have really hard time, if not it is impossible for me, to have my heel touch my thigh, I just cannot sit like that. Otherwise I am a beginner in ashtanga but I am moderately mobile and flexible, except for this kind of internal hip rotation. My yoga teacher assists me by pressing me down (in order to sit on both thighs not just the one), and pushes me to counter my tilt, pressing me to bend forward and not sideways; and if I get no assistance, I fold a blanket under the outer part of my extended leg.
    I was thinking, maybe it would help to explain, what we are trying to achieve with this asana? What are we supposed to feel?

    • @oksanaaston8672
      @oksanaaston8672 Рік тому

      This pose helps to open internal rotation of the hip and the front tigh, prepares you for backbends in general and especially for those in second series.
