About to take first flight on the 900 next week. Usually hate flying these "mini planes", but this looks awesome, and with the upgrade to seat 4D, I am really looking forward to this one. Thanks for this report.
@@kitaboo2245 Being over 6 ft tall sucks on these planes, that's why I try to avoid these things and the 717's at all costs. The only small planes I'm willing to fly in are ERJ 170 and 175's.
@@rudolphna54 Wrong! You are comparing to the older CRJ. The new Atmosphere cabin also widen usable width...through new wall panel design. CRJ-900 Atmosphere is 17.2" and 220 is 18.6" - no where it reaches 19", not even in Comfort+. In addition, you are comparing a small plane versus one much larger of nearly twice of the capacity, and CRJ has much much shorter range intended for shorter flights. Some of the grips from us frequent flyers are lack of bin space, which is being addressed in the new cabin design. These CRJs are used for feeder flights, so a lot of us have to connect to another flight. Gate check your carry on is a big headache and they did address the most serious problem here.

I’ve flown 6 times, the last one was with Delta. I probably will never fly another airline again. Everything you said is true about Delta and the service. My bother and I flew into a storm into Houston, TX from MSP last week and I love have the Pilot warns us calmly about the “Rough Air” 😆 before take off and right before we hit Houston. I was terrified... but I am always terrified of a little turbulence😂 I am such a baby. But this was the best flight I have ever taken so far. Even the basic seats have plenty of room. I really like that Delta allows you a free carry-on and a personal item for baggage. Thanks for sharing this video ❤️
Turbulence is nothing to be afraid of. It’s just bumps in the road. Think of it like driving your car and you hit some bumps or potholes. You don’t feel terror when that happens. Same deal in the sky.😊😊
I feel like if you're going to comment on the 31" seat pitch leg room being not bad, you should have to add your height as a qualifier. Unless you have an outseam of 30" or less, there is no way you will find a 31" pitch comfortable. I physically do not fit in the space allotted to an economy seat on a Delta CRJ, and at 6'3" I'm not unusually tall for a man.
We just had an equipment change feom the 717-200 to the 900 from MDT to ATL. Here's hoping that we get the new version as I too am no fan of the crj. Nice video.
The atmosphere crj can be distinguished by the fact the last row on atmosphere planes (as well as a few older planes) are only a half row (aka closet on one side and 2 seats on the other), meanwhile non-atmosphere have a full 2-2 row at the back
I had flown with CRJ from Newark to St. Louis then back to EWR. It was Continental (United). Cool flight but very little of snacks with soda/coffee. So, you’ll travel from Earth to any planets then back to Earth, lol 😆

Do you get paid to take these trips and make reports on certain aircraft or do you just do it by yourself? Also, do you have certain meetings or other jobs that you do in the cities that you land in, or is it for fun travel adventures? Actually really curious about this because Casey Neistat was paid to take some trips so that is why I am asking. I like your videos though! I could watch them all day, they are so satisfying!
All 100% of the videos I do is out of my own enjoyment, I don’t get payed to do these (excluding UA-cam ad revenue). Hey! I'm going to be flying to New York this September. We're going to be an a CRJ 900 and we got the first row seats in first class (seats 1C and 1D). Does that seat have a window that's not either too far in front or in between the seats? Just curious.

You mentioned you didn't know about the tram. I see it seldomly used unless you need to get to the far end of the C gates as well as the A and B gates. Most flights out of A-C are regional, so you'll usually find the majority of the mainline aircraft usually flying out of F and G hence the low use of the tram
